Set within four acres of private gardens, St. Helen's is a five-star Georgian estate built in the 1750s and now a protected National Monument, located a 10-minute drive from Dublin city center. Part of the independent Scally Hotel Collection, the estate has been carefully restored while keeping the original character that makes it one of Dublin's most recognizable addresses. Talavera Restaurant serves Italian cuisine by candlelight, with seasonal ingredients and handmade pastas at its heart. A beautiful property. Good sized rooms and bathrooms. Great staff. Hard to find anything wrong.
It ended up being further from town, and the nearest rail station, than the maps show. Cab drivers have a hard time finding the hotel for pickup. It is expensive, but most lodging in Dublin is expensive.

Beautiful grounds. Nice lounge area. People helpful.
Bathrooms awful. Bathtubs downright dangerous and uncomfortable. Need update. Drinks at bar were not as good as the other places we went on our tour of Ireland.

Absolutely stunning! What an amazing property. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the grounds were amazing. Enjoyed the breakfast and having drinks in the lounge in the evening.

Great estate property , delicious breakfasts, top notch service. Felt spoiled while staying there. The staff is so attentive!!!! And yes - it’s super close the center of Dublin - quick bus or a train ride. Make sure to have euro coins for a bus fare. Oh - they have a Free parking on site!

The rooms were clean as well as the beds, bathrooms, and towels. St. Helens Hotel is a must stay if you're in Dublin, the garden ate immaculate, and whatever direction you look, have amazing details it really is a castle like experience that you can only experienced once in a life time. We recommend taking advantage of the breakfast option, and all the staff make you feel so welcome. It is one of the best hotels I've stayed in for sure, I highly recommend it.
The wifi is the only thing this hotel needs to get better, it keep disconnecting and is very slow a lot of the time.
