Wonderful
The staff were fantastic and easy going at the Uppercross . The hotel has lots of character especially the bar . A really good facility is that they have safe, secure and free parking . Our room was spotless and had really good toiletries . Having a mini fridge was a really good facility to have ! The bed was comfy also and we had an ironing board and iron which is great . The drink vouchers were a lovely touch . There was a vending machine also which came in handy when we came back from the concert . The location is really ideal and the hotel is nestled in between some beautiful places to eat and drink ! We would definitely come back to the Uppercross and would recommend it to everyone . Really good value for money .
Tiles in the bedroom are an odd choice and shower wasn’t very powerful, but did the job .

The hotel and the room were clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also ok. Good value for money.
The location of the hotel is a bit far from the city centre.

Pleasant
The staff were friendly. The restaurant food was good.
There were no instructions in the room on how to use the a/c controls. The toilet set was loose. The tv remote was malfunctioning. The shower head stand would not stay in positioned when adjusted to.

Fair
Very close to a lively area with lots of facilities.
New bathroom.
I went to reception twice, and on both occasions, there were at least 3 people behind reception, and two men (same ones each time) were lying back in chairs on their phone. This really sets the tone, and I should have known what the overall stay would be like.
The smell of lillies was overpowering.
Tiled bedroom and outdated.
Rock hard bed ( granted, this is my preference, and others may love it).
The big one now, parking. I was in Dublin in business in the area and picked this place because it said free parking. There is, but there are about 10 spaces, and they are so tight.
I really wonder about reviews lately. Maybe as I get older, I expect better quality. In my younger days, I stayed in some questionable places while travelling and not a bother!
This place just lacks professionalism and high standards. I was due to stay next week as well, but I cancelled it.
