Location
The College Green transition has removed all of the former Westin Dublin traditional charm, rooms are generic, housekeeping indifferent. Gorgeous marble bathrooms have given way to tiles and half baths. Strong smell of damp in the closet and coffee area. Called front desk for maintenance at 5:30pm, as two of the lamps dont work - called an hour later and was told rudely that theyd be here shortly. Its 9:15am following day, still waiting, zero initiative or follow up from staff.

everything went well only problem for me was checkin but the duty manager could see how tired I was from an overnight flight from boston and resolved things very quickly , I was very impressed overall, and the hotel matched my expectations from my last visit there.
when I first arrived from the overnight flight from boston I was told my room was not ready despite having informed the hotel that I was arriving between 9 &10 and would require a room immediately, it was very quickly resolved (within about 15 mins) so no real harm done and I really enjoyed my stay.

The position of the hotel was good
We had numerous issues including having to change room because the locked interconnecting door did not keep out sound of normal conversation from next room , a fridge that didn't work notwithstanding telling the hotel about this at least three times, a couple of housekeeping issues and a badly organised breakfast room. If the hotel responds saying I should have mentioned this to them I did so on at least 4 occasions by speaking with reception desk and a duty manager. Profuse apologies were offered - including an offer of additional points and/or dinner which were declined - but all should have been resolved immediately and weren't.

location of property is good and central
new Luas tram runs outside door so no cars taxis can stop , the service in restaurant for dinner and breakfast was not organised well , lots of tables left after diners complete for 20mins
