Disappointing
First time I’ve ever stayed in a hotel and the spa is not included- €50 for the both of us to use it whihc is appalling in my opinion if staying in the hotel it should be available for guests.
We were also disappointed that we had no access to the rooftop bar. Two features which played a part in us making the decision to book this hotel.for. Hotel that did not seem busy we should have been allowed to use the rooftop bar.
Lovely hotel great location nice staff. But the two of these features should be open to guests who are paying good money to stay here. Any hotel I have ever stayed in, all areas are open to guests.

Very Poor
The bed was comfortable and there was a coffee pod machine in the room which we liked
The location isn't good. There were some strange people walking around during the day so my friend and I took a taxi back from the city centre at night. The taxi driver also told us that the streets surrounding the hotel were unsafe and where drugs were dealt.
You have to pay 25€ extra per person for the "spa" and isn't really a spa, in my opinion. It wasn't communicated at the reception when we checked in and not clearly stated on booking.com or the hotel website. A very small jacuzzi pool and 2 steam rooms. The chlorine level is so strong it hurt my eyes so much I left after 5 minutes and was refused a refund. Terrible customer service. This was the main reason we booked this hotel so it felt like the wrong decision the moment this happened and couldn't use it.
The hotel had a strange smell, particularly in the downstairs area and lift. Our room also had very strong smells like hospital food. We were on the 6th floor so I doubt it was from the restaurant and was constant.
Small things like a broken lampshade and constant flickering bathroom light, just felt like below bar for a supposed 4 star hotel. It wasn't a cheap rate either so I expected more to be honest.

We attended for a 30th birthday and when we arrived, we could check in early and we had a room upgrade. We were also left a plate with a brownies on with a message of 'Happy Birthday' which was a lovely touch. The hotel room was lovely and clean. Hotel was in a great location for us to walk to the centre.

The bed was very comfortable and we slept off our jet lag very quickly. There is a little rooftop lounge that was open 24/7, offering coffee/tea and snacks, and continental breakfast in the morning. We got the sense it was for guests on upper floors only. When we were tired of pub dining, we were able to bring in a take away meal and enjoy it in this space.
Just one tiny issue. One of the freshly provided (daily) hand towels looked like it had been used to wipe dark shoe polish and was badly stained, but it was laundered. The laundry service should have caught that. We just didn't use it.

Very Poor
The room was stylish and spacious
Where to start?! I paid extra for an upgrade to a club room that provided access to the “club lounge”. The club lounge was a basic room with a few chairs that provided “breakfast”. At the time 8:45 there was no breakfast left, the coffee machine didn’t work and there was no chairs. Very crammed room. Locked out of our room a few times and had to ask for a new card, this was also the same with the spa we paid extra for and could not get access. The smell in the corridors was horrendous that we actually threw up along with children and adults lying about some of the halls? There was no information in the room on room service or any facilities. The staff were not in anyway pleasant or helpful with anything. Very dismissive and unwilling to listen to any of the issues. The trams are very close and you can hear these so we were woke early and although this is not to hotels fault, the view from our ‘luxurious’ room was people injecting drugs. Do NOT recommend staying at this hotel!!!

Hotel is across the road from Connelly station so if you’re travelling by train it’s not a long walk with your suitcase. Room was spotless. Reception staff very helpful. Id recommend adding the breakfast with your stay.
