Very Poor
On first arrival staff were lovely and hotel seemed nice, very clean. Room was a good size, modern and clean.
There was firstly an issue with the TV, we reported and was told someone would be up. No one arrived after 40 minutes, called again. Porter arrived and couldn't resolve issue. Rang reception and was told it was a fault in whole hotel. Person was extremely rude and told me if we came to watch TV we could check out. I asked to speak to their manager and was told they were the duty manager. They said they would email the front of house manager to speak to me.
Overnight there was an issue with the automatic night lights, flash everything I moved in bed, like a strobe light.
In the morning we went to Front Desk and spoke to the Front of House Manager. I explained both incidents and he was very blunt saying he hadn't yet read his emails, not offering an apology or help. How this was clearly untrue as I hadn't said my name or room number and he then told me my room number.
In addition the hotel is located in an unpleasant area next to train station.
Our view was a walk or reception window. Trains could be heard most of the night, but in fairness we didn't mind that.
Due to the poor customer service we checked out early and finished our stay at The Spencer Hotel, where the staff were amazing.
Pictures show view from room. Trainline above. Have video of strobe lights issue but cannot upload.
I have reached out to ask for a contact at Head Office but have never received a reply.
I would not recommend this hotel in any way. The management have no care for the guests and their stay.
The hotel have since published a response stating that we were wanting to view a Premium Channel. Just to be clear that is totally incorrect and we wanted to view Channel 4 that was showing as available on the TV in the hotel room. The front desk originally said there was a fault and then advised nowhere in Dublin got Channel 4. The staff were rude and unhelpful both over the TV and the flashing light. I am updating this to ensure that travellers understand the full picture.

Massive Comfy bed and nice room. Coffee machine, robes and lovely bathroom.
The bar downstairs has great drinks. Staff were really nice and the location was perfect.
Was woken up at 7am on a Saturday to what turned out to be fire alarm testing . Had no warning.
The air con didn’t work in our room so had to sleep with the balcony door open which meant lots of noise from the city and nearby train station.
Guests in corridors were also noisy. That being said we would definitely come and stay again.

Very modern and quite quirky. The room was so clean and cozy and the bar and restaurants were excellent with good quality food and drinks at good prices especially for Dublin.
Location great opposite the train station but like all hotels by a station the area not quite the best but only a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar.

Lovely rooms and in a reasonably good location
We were in club rooms - the club room service is poor. The first morning there were no pastries, mugs for drinks and rubbish everywhere - it seemed poorly managed.

Wonderful
The room was just beautiful and was very modern and automated. You put your key card in a slot just inside the door that turns the lights on and allows you to turn them off and on beside the bed. The blinds go up and down with the push of a button beside the bed. There was a train station just across the street and it went somewhat over the hotel too that we could hear from the lobby which worried us. Our room was above and overlooking the rails for the train and there were trains going on it all the time but we didn't hear them. They must be electric or something?? The breakfast was great and we just walked across the street to catch the train to Belfast.
The location is good, not great if you want to see Temple Bar but we walked it and did just fine. The staff was not overly friendly or welcoming but they did their job. The lobby is pretty dark which we didn't really like but must be the vibe they want. To check in early they charge $40 Euros or we could have them hold our luggage until 3 or 4 o'clock (I don't remember when check-in was) so we took them up on that since we were going out walking. There was a big black false eyelash on the floor in the bathroom in front of the toilet beside the tub. Not sure how that could be missed in the middle of the floor if it been cleaned but other than that, everything else seemed clean so we didn't say anything to the hotel.
