great location for concerts across the street,close shops and places to eat. the hotel is clean, the staff was too nice, and the bar has a nice vibe and great friendly bartenders. forgive me, i forgot his name, but the bartender was from Brazil,a true gentleman and very attentive..The breakfast buffet is well worth the cost, very clean and many options to choose from. this hotel is very nice, we would certainly stay there again. what a great place overall..

This was my 5 th stay there in the last 10 years. I find it convenient, being along the Luas, comfortable, and very quiet for sleeping.
The staff are responsive.
The carpet in the hallways is getting worn. The shower, though really great, needs attention to caulking (mold) and some baseboards that are worn/damaged.

The service in teh bar restaurant was very bad, we waited 45 minutes for a portion of chicken wings and a caesar salad, a pint of guinness and a glass of wine, when i asked the waitress, she told me ordering on the app which i scanned with my phone camera to order, she told me this was a much slower method and the kitchen always left those orders by app to last.

The only issue was getting to other parts of Dublin. The tram was not running, so we had to get cabs most of the time.

Rooms were quite warm with no opportunity to open windows or increase ventilation. A fan would have helped.8 No charm -- for the price, expected more amenities and artistic decor. There were almost no restaurants or entertainment nearby, so we spent a goodly sum on taxis.
The most disappointing feature was that our reason for choosing the Gibson was that a spur of the rail line at the hotel would then take us to Connelly station for our rail tour of Ireland. That spur was closed for repairs. The taxi charged us €21 for the short ride to the station. (Other taxis took us across town to the Jameson and Guiness tours for €9.
