In central Dublin, the family-run Gate Hotel is just off O’Connell Street and 5 minutes’ from fantastic shopping at Henry Street. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, rooms with private bathroom. Ideal location. And friendly staff who upgraded us without us having to ask as the single bed rooms were on the third floor and it was obvious I could not manage that many stairs.
Noisy at night with bars that did not close till 2.30am . Car parking some distance away which I suppose is to be expected with a hotel so close to city centre but there was space to unload at the door

It's one of the cheaper places to stay in dublin, and right in the heart of the city, staff were nice, shower was fine , the bed was comfortable.
I think they are honest on the website it's close to a busy bar , I could here music coming from the bar next store, I was prepared for that they note this , o feel this is a grand place for a night once you know what your going into the room is basic, does the job , great if it was hens or stags , much better then a hostel. I would stay again, but if your looking for luxury, this isn't the place , I stayed multiple times here.

Absolutely nothing to like about this place AVOID!!!!
It was dirty Nothing like the pictures The bed was like a banana and rock hard Also think it was bed bugs Staff weren't at all helpful You won't get any sleep at all with the loud music blasting into the wee hours

accommodating staff, my wife did not feel well, they got us in the room very early. We stayed 3 0r 4 across Europe, many jammed us in 1 room,here we had 2 for nice privacy.

Too much noise from street and pub downstairs, window did not shut properly. Pillows were stained, rubbish all over floor upon entry into room. Water pressure in shower non existent.
