In central Dublin, the family-run Gate Hotel is just off O’Connell Street and 5 minutes’ from fantastic shopping at Henry Street. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, rooms with private bathroom. Bed was comfortable, close to airport bus
There was noise until 3am from the club next door, and then from 3am to 5am staff were opening and closing doors right outside our room, carrying stacks of towels in an out and slamming the doors behind. We didn't get any sleep at all, even with ear plugs.

The staff at The Gate Hotel are exceptional. For a basic hotel, they go over and above for the guests. I liked how safe the entrance is (for the location) and Philip on the night desk is so friendly and takes good care of guests coming in late. The two reception ladies who were working during our stay were very professional and also really lovely to chat to. This is an old building in a tired location, but the cleanliness, care, and comfort we received was great. Thanks again
