Location is perfect, walking distance to practically everything downtown Dublin. Hotel has some character and doesnt have the box chain feel. The temple bar is right behind you with loads of amenities, Grafton street and OConnell Streets are less than a 10 minute walk with Trinity college, Dublin Castle and St Stevens green about 15 minutes away. Great location given that proximity.
Expected the noise as this is our second stay, so we knew it would not be a super quiet stay. Disappointed that we were in a non-upgraded room but the worst of it was our room was over the lobby which was holding a wedding reception that went on until 4am, shaking our room the whole time. We had an early flight so clearly not ok! It would have been fine if we were part of the wedding. We did notify the staff who were pleasant and understanding, but not expecting anything to come out of it as weve seen some unpleasant reviews having similar concerns. For how much you pay, this makes it a budget hotel experience to be fair. Our first experience was amazing, we had the red carpet treatment and treated like an important guest. But this experience was brutal which unfortunately will not make us repeat customers.

Hipster kinda vibe, cool and happening vibe.
We had room 209. Barely enough space to even open a luggage on the floor. The bathroom door does not close all the way, like its too big for the opening. In November and its cold out. Cant change the heat temperature to make it warmer. Super annoying that the WiFi does not work in our room. Cant even connect to it.

Loved the decor and location.
The shower curtain needs a liner level beside just the one curtain. The bartender was delightful until he got pushy about tipping. Which was frustrating because Ireland has no real rule regarding tipping.
