Pleasant
The location was fabulous. We were also given an upgrade to a room with a terrace. Unfortunately the terrace and outdoor furniture was covered in pigeon droppings so we were not able to use it.
The bathroom was shabby and not very clean. We also had an incident where another person managed to be trapped on our terrace after going through a fire door and tried to get into our room at 130 am. It was pretty scary but no-one from the staff followed up with us the following day other than when we asked to tell us it was another guest.

The reception staff were lovely, the perfect people to have on a front desk. Room was spotless and had everything needed. Location is wonderful. I will definitely be staying here again.
Honestly, can’t think of anything.

the location was of course excellent.
the cocktail lounge was superb. and our waiter helpful.
the toilets in the public part of the hotel were clean and sparkling .
our room 103 was dark and bereft of natural light which was a great shame on the sunniest weekend of the year .
there were no wardrobes and little storage. this was a great pity as we had a regatta to attend.
there was no adequate space for makeup
the bathroom was well lit but the sink only had the narrowest of rims and the dressing table in the bedroom was so poorly lit that it would have been utterly impossible to use for make up application
the shower tiles were dirty at the bottom. we left out the usual sign to clean the room but arrived back to the room as we had left it. my daughter said we should have told them at reception that we wanted it cleaned.
the stopper in the bath wasnt sealed and all the water in the bath went out before I got in . There was no gel applicator for the bath.
although we got an iron and board on request it is unusual not to have an iron in a city hotel . Also while we got extra teabags and milk on request the supply was meagre. they appeared to be short staffed at reception bar with only one person taking orders and making and serving drinks. all in all very little attention to detail and disappointing in such a well known and famous hotel

Nice hotel - no fireworks
Overpriced massively for what and where it is. Noisy area. Weak A/C. Hotel is fine but not worth the money

The Clarence is conveniently located. As we were in a rental car, it was nice to have a 24-hour car park within blocks. There are also numerous food and drink options nearby, but beware of overpriced tourist traps. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice view of the River Liffey. The lounge in the lobby was quite comfortable.
We felt the Clarence was a bit overpriced.

I pre booked my room and fully paid 2 weeks in advance. On arrival I was asked for a 50 euro additional security deposit. I offered this in cash but was told they cant take cash and if i didn't provide payment via card, I would not be allowed stay in the room.
I only had cash on me, and the room was already payed for online. Very poor. I had to wait until my partner arrived to use her card for the 50euro security deposit.
The staff were in no way helpful about this and literally said without a card you will have to leave.
Won't be staying again.

The staff, position, facilities, ambience, food and decor were great.
Bit noisy on the Saturday evening. Friday was fine. Suspect that there was a gig on in Hotel on Saturday.
