The reception staff were quite wonderful; very helpful, attentive and courteous. They could not have done more to help us. They were quick to respond to any request.
The location is absolutely perfect. We had plans on both sides of the Liffey river and, with 3 grandkids in tow, this allowed us to be central to everything.
Temple bar is a hive of loud music, lots of people and good humour. It was great to just experience it.
The rooms are a good size and very comfortable.
We booked 3 rooms and the showers in two of them didn’t work properly. We had 6 people sharing the shower in one bedroom. To be fair, we were staying for only one night and, upon mentioning it to reception, they offered to send maintenance to look at it …we declined simply to avoid the delay in checking out. My point is that the previous guests must have raised this as an issue?
The breakfast was okay but not good enough for a 4 star hotel. The food was fine but it was the items missing that caused a little head-scratching. Only two fruits; grapes and water melon? No beans (the grandkids wanted beans) and no Irish soda bread, in addition, whilst the staff were very polite, there appeared to be a shortage of staff. Plates were not removed from the table without prompting. I would stress though that the breakfast was not bad, just not quite good enough for a 4 star hotel. This is an expensive hotel, and the total package fell below the expectations of the advertised standards.

It had space for three adults in one room, which is pretty uncommon.
It was comfortable and ear plugs were provided.
There was a lot of light in the room as there were lots of windows.
There were biscuits.
I like extra pillows and they had them in the cupboard.
Location was great.
Held our luggage when we no longer had a room for later collection.
Very expensive for just one night in a “snug” room. £60 per person is a little wild.
Poor communication between reception staff and cleaners. Cleaners knocked regularly from 9am when we had a 12pm checkout.

I only booked my stay a few days before and it did not say there was work going on in the hotel alarms were going of from 7.30 in the morning and loud machinery my anxiety was really bad due to this

Location was fantastic. Room was quiet and very spacious - family room held four adults comfortably.
One young adult didn't love getting stuck with the futon. Construction was going on while we were there, actively painting and removing all the lobby furniture with lots of noise outside. Made speaking to front desk staff extremely difficult and increased the tensions of all interactions that I overheard
