Bed was super comfy, and the price was fair. I live in the area and needed a room for a night while guests were staying in my place. Could not have been more delighted. It was quiet and relaxing, like a little oasis of tranquility (hard to find in Dublin).

Very Good
All was excellent - staff were both attentive and helpful. Pricing of accomodation, food and refreshments was in keeping with what to expect in the area. All good
I thought all was good, and to be negative would be to do so for the sake of it. There was nothing really that warranted record of complaint.

Beautiful boutique hotel with an outstanding restaurant.
There are better locations. Have to Uber to many places.

Wonderful
Spacious, cute room with a very comfortable bed and a TV that worked well.
Great space with a lot of character and history.
The gastropub was lovely and the breakfast was good.
Would have liked some nicer bathroom amenities (higher quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash installed in the shower).
The key was way too heavy and it's a little annoying to have to drop it off/pick it up every time you leave or come back.

Beautiful boutique hotel with a fantastic restaurant.
Expensive. Location is not as central as many other hotels.

Pleasant
The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet at night. The front desk staff were excellent. The bathroom facilities and toiletries were very nice, especially the shower.
We thought that the cost of breakfast (E25/$40) was outrageous, considering the price of the room. Breakfast should be included at no extra charge.
The cheap quality hair dryer was nailed inside a desk drawer, and no mirror was within reach. This is the first hotel we have stayed in that nailed it inside a drawer! Should provide a good quality blow dryer.
Twice I had to ask reception for more coffee - housekeeping repeatedly left us three instant coffee packages, and we like to have two cups each. Our wonderful front desk staff(Portuguese young lady) was very responsive and apologetic. Considering the cost of this hotel, we think a Nespresso machine should be provided in the rooms.

Very Good
It was in a lovely neighborhood of Dublin and within walking distance of central Dublin
The room needed a nightlight for the bathroom. The room is just below ground floor and had French doors to a patio, very nice but for privacy at night best to close the curtains. It is best to close the curtains which made the room very dark. If you have to get up in the night it’s a little treacherous. Also, I had to wipe down the table and chairs on the patio. Would have been nice if they were cleaned.

Charming and lovely old building! Room was nice and comfortable.
Parking is very limited.
Location is ok, we would likely book something closer to the river area next time.

Wonderful
Lovely property that is well maintained and excellent location. The desk staff were super and very helpful.
The restaurant at night was very crowded and the service couldn’t keep up. Food came out cold and the wait was long. The staff was inconsistent and the menu was so so.

Schoolhouse is a boutique hotel in the most amazingly renovated building that was originally built as St. Stephen’s Parochial School in 1859. Historically and geographically, the Schoolhouse Hotel is located in Ballsbridge, an affluent, leafy neighborhood known as Dublin's Georgian Quarter - just a half hour walk to the main attractions in Dublin. The three restaurant spaces had the most amazing faulted ceilings and open fires which added to the dining experiences. Small but great menu. Our room on the top floor was equally originally in shape and generously proportioned. We asked for a quiet room that had an attractive view over roofs and yards at the back of the building. The decor was fabulous from the wall-papers to the upholstery fabrics. Bed etc. very comfortable. Free parking on-site a bonus for the time we hired a car.
Music in the gastro-bar and breakfast room could do with a rethink. OK the dining areas are a bar but 'pop' on rotation could be more thoughtfully chosen and something light and sophisticated such as guitar music would be more pleasant at breakfast.

The music in the dining areas - both evening and at breakfast time needs a re-think. OK the dining space is also a gastropub but the music doesn't need to be endless 'pop' and on a rotation. We stayed four nights all up. Two at the beginning of our stay in Ireland, two at the end - the music was the same all four evenings.
