Second time staying at the Sandymount this year and staff are really professional and friendly. Rooms and communal areas are clean and comfortable.
The bar is reasonably priced and again the staff are great. Free parking is brilliant and the location is perfect for either getting into Dublin or exploring further afield
Breakfast is very good but I feel it is expensive. We weren't sure if we wanted breakfast at check-in and had to pay €21 each.
The lift was out of order when we arrived but was quickly fixed so it wasn't a big problem until I got stuck in the lift with two other gentlemen. One of the other gentlemen was elderly and disabled and it got very hot in the lift so it became quite a concern. Not a nice experience at all.
Saying that this won't stop me returning to the Sandymount next time we're visiting family.

Wonderful
The property is located in a great spot not to far from the city centre. Train station about 3 minute walk away to get into city centre and trains are every 10 minutes or so and with it only being 8 euro return for to adults was a great bonus, definitely will be booking here again when visiting Dublin
All staff members were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we landed till the day we left,Rooms were very clean and comfortable, food in the bar was next to amazing and couldn’t fault the breakfast in the mornings, all food was lovely and warm

Very nice place to stay. Staff are very helpful and the location is great. Rooms are a good size, especially with two larger suitcases. Lots of places to walk and a beautiful suburb.
No Air Con is frustrating but it seems the norm in the UK/Ireland. Windows open and fans are available.

We liked the location and the girl at reception, Mary. Mary was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
We were fortunate to have a room on the third floor because they had the welcome home for the the premier’s of the Gaelic football, Kerry, and we had the best view.
The bar staff were a little arrogant. Didn’t want to converse with us at all.
There were no meals on the two days we stayed there, although we found a couple of lovely restaurants elsewhere.
The room was far too warm, maybe ceiling fans would help.
The noise in the morning outside was a little annoying.

Food was ok
From arrival time on sunday onto monday, we were totally unsatisfied with the reception. When checking in, we were informed that we had already checked in and that our room was also paid for. 2 single beds, not the family room of a double and a single bed. We sorted that issue with the on duty manager. On return later that sunday evening, we collected our room key.
Later sunday night when in bed a group of people entered our room at approx 11.30 pm saying that this was their room. Reception rang our room asking again for our details on how we collected in.
Monday morning, after returning from breakfast, our room keys wouldn't work. Returning to reception to sort this issue , hey informed us we had already checked out of our room. Again, the duty manager apologised for all the confusion,
Worst experience every in this hotel as would have stayed there on others visits to dublin
The standard of the hotel is gone extremely down over the past few years
