Free carpark???
Rang 2 days before my arrival.
Was told how to get to the carpark BUT was not told it was on first come base. So we had no parking space. Had to find a place in the area.
Not happy with that.

Very Poor
I booked the Pembrooke Hotel and upon arrival was told they had overbooked and that they had sent me a message earlier to say they were relocating me to another venue - Waterloo Townhouse and suites (not a hotel). When I checked the message it said it was due to 'maintance issues' not being overbooked. The staff member tried to make excuses and then said it was for both reasons. I found this totally unacceptable but as I had a work event I had to just accept this and moved to the other hotel. They offered me complimentary breakfast but as they didn't provide breakfast at Waterloo Townhouse I would of had to walk c 15 mins to the original hotel. I had a conference to attend in any event. I met someone else at the event at they had the same issue though they were moved from the Waterloo Townhouse and suites to Waterloo Lodge. It seems like this is a ploy of this group.
Being moved to another location and not being properly notified.

Wonderful
The Pembroke Townhouse is beautiful, tasteful, and we really appreciated the availability of good quality tea and coffee throughout the day, plus pastries. The staff was helpful and kind. The neighborhood is pleasant and quiet.
The only negative is that it's a little far from the main sites of Dublin--basically an 18-20 min walk.

Location was fantastic. The walking to city centre was a little more than comfortable, however, it was worth being outside of the bustle of the city. The rooms were basic and the staff was accommodating and helpful.
It was quite hot upstairs. And a few neighbors were loud into the late night.

Pleasant
Pembroke Townhouse is located in the historic Ballsbridge neighborhood and is easily reached. It boasts a gated car park behind the stately Georgian building. The staff are courteous and approachable. There’s a nice restaurant a short walk away.
There was just one electrical outlet in our small room, and it wasn’t near the bed; we had to improvise in order to use our CPAP machines. Upon checkout we were told we should have requested an extension cord. My position is that we should have been offered one at check-in because the staff know about the lack of outlets. The room has a modern shower, but it’s designed in such a way that you can’t avoid getting hit with cold water the moment you turn it on.

Very Good
Location was relatively quiet and downtown accessible by walking. The included parking and breakfast were deciding factors.
The parking lot view wasn’t very private so had to keep curtains closed. The room was too warm without solution. The open window offered no relief.
The shower and glass were awkward to operate. And water leaks over tub.
Expensive but at par for the region. All good.

Very Good
Good location, polite and helpful staff, excellent decor/design
Both nights we were there the hot water wasn’t working. I know it’s a common issue with older buildings, but with the cold it would’ve been nice to take a hot shower.

The room was comfortable with a nice sized bathroom that was well equipped with everything you needed. Small and simple but nicely decorated, and the staff were always very lovely. Free coffee and tea was offered downstairs along with pastries, which was very helpful when you wanted something quick.
The water in our shower was extremely hot. There was no cold option no matter which way you turned the dial. If you barely turned the water pressure on, it would be cool enough to shower, but it was extremely hot.

We loved the location, the breakfast was amazing, the staff was great,
We did not like the upstairs couch and blanket. It could have been more updated.

This is a lovely property close to a city bus line.
It was a little bit of a hike from the bus stop that brought us from the airport.

I thought the lighting was too minimal after dark. Better options for charging electronics needed. Full length mirror is always helpful.
