Great location. Very comfortable room. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet.
Our only mild criticism is that the staff seemed to be relatively unfamiliar with restaurants in the immediate area, which we found to be a little odd.

Very friendly reception staff.
Dark room, window onto small internal quadrangle. If we stayed again I would reqest an outward facing room. I just like natural light, but for just two days I couldn't be bothered. Room service wasn't great, the room was not refreshed on the first day, so then getting some extra tea bags and milk portions was a real effort two requests to reception and housekeeping failed to deliver, fortunately on my third attempt I bumped into a manager who was immedaitely helpful and gave me a handful from a store room. Not a big issue but not what you expect in what was a top end hotel.

The location was amazing - within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Room was spacious and clean and breakfast was fine.
The only negative we experienced was our room was a second floor suite that overlooked the lobby and it was loud both in the late evening and early morning. (We could hear every conversation.)

The location of this property is close to Merrion Square. It’s 10min walk to Trinity College and Grafton Street and 20min walk to Temple Bar. There is an excellent Italian restaurant and also a tapas restaurant close by and a few decent pubs across the road.
The quality of service we obtained was poor. We expressed concern a number of times about tea/milk not being replenished in our room. One member of the reception team said he would act on our concern personally and immediately. Sadly, he didn’t and nothing changed. When we checked in we were invited to email the director of operations with any concerns. After three nights I wrote to him. Five days later I have yet to receive an acknowledgment let alone a response to my concerns. The hotel prides itself on being high quality. Our room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom had no heating at all. It was impossible to dry towels and we had to have clean ones each day which wasn’t particularly environmentally friendly. Overall, poor value for a lot of money.

A beautiful old hotel right in the middle of everything, location couldn’t be more convenient. Day staff are pleasant and helpful and breakfast is nice
Staff that were there in the evening were unhelpful, even curt to the point of being rude. They were supposed to make up a sofa bed for our daughter and instead of owning the mistake in not doing so (we checked that they would before leaving for the day) we were told it had happened, called back down when it wasn’t (she had no linens or pillows), and were nearly hung up on. It took me going downstairs to get them to send people up to do what should have been done in the afternoon.
