Great views (if you book a sea view room), large room, friendly staff
It seemed a bit basic in some ways for the price - bath towel but no hand towels, no tissues. The breakfast used to be great there but was only ok

Just the location
Bed was uncomfortable, room was hot, receptionist was rude at check-in, room was very noisy, too expensive for what you get, very rundown, wasn't very clean. Wardrobe door was dodgy. Met a lady on the lift that was given a room number that didn't exist.

arrived late and there was no food in the bar but the bar man went to the kitchen and got scone and jam/butter (free of charge) which was genuinely kind. thank you.

I have stayed at the hotel every year for the last 25 years sometimes 2 or 3 times in a year always been good apart from the last couple of years in the hands of the Ryan family as all care for the guests and service kind of stopped the price for one night has gone up nearly 85 percent compared to last year the hotel has stayed in business for decades based on comfort price service. I think the new owners are concentrating on the service and expecting public to pay over inflated prices unfortunately long-term that won’t work but I hope it does.

Location excellent loved access to beach and excellent walking nearby hill of howth fabulousdifficult
Difficult to get bedroom changed bedroom very compact bathroom simply far too small for two people breakfast choices limited and too expensive girl on reception on check out did not engage just felt we were an inconvenience no thank you or smile just focused on her computer!!!
