Location was great
Room was booked to include my family, which included 3 month old baby; the room could not fit a pram in past the door toilet and the beds basically touched both walls, the room was in the loft with no aircon and with outside temperatures only at 23 degrees the room was unbearably hot: each morning we woke is a pool of sweat, the hotel provided a fan on the second night which was absolutely useless. By time we had showered and got dressed we were all dripping with sweat - a thoroughly uncomfortable stay and the worst hotel room I have ever had in 30 years of travelling!

Breakfast was awful, cold scrambled egg, bacon looked underdone and not fresh, sausage felt like it was the cheapest you could get, mushy in the middle

Poor
Insane price, almost 300 euros{that did not include breakfast} for a tiny, out of date room. Our room in particular had what appeared to be dried blood stains on the wall and was unbearably warm. The staff, apart from the night porter were not very helpful and impatient.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and view
No fans. We actually were told by staff that a fan was available and it would be put into room. However upon return to the hotel after our day out, they did not follow through and then was told there were no more fans. We should have waited until it was in our hands before leaving.

Great location. Nice to have use of a sauna, steam room and pool for this price in Dublin. There was a good bar in the hotel.

Poor
It was right on the water which was nice.
We were put in a VERY tiny, hot room that felt more like an attic. We went down to the pool and got back to our room at 10p to find the keys weren't working. With 2 soaking wet kids, and 2 trips to the front desk, the night manager (who was absolutely wonderful) came up with us to help troubleshoot. Still unable to get our door open, she put us in another room while trying to fix the issue. We ended up having to spend the night in a different room away from all of our belongings and kids with no clothes after the pool. Again, the night manager was fantastic. She brought me her personal phone charger to use and a few of her own personal clothing items (sadly they didn't fit any of us but I wholeheartedly appreciate the gesture). Our room was opened at 8a. No effort was made to comp the room by the day management. They didn't seek me out to apologize. As we left, they jumped up from behind the counter and said to message them if we ever decide to come back and they'll give us a discount. I'm a very reasonable and understanding person but I think some gesture would have gone a LONG way in this situation given my kids slept without any clothes and we were locked out of our room for a whole night. Room ratings: our assigned room 219 (see pictures), was very small. The bathroom was very dated. Our second room (119-no pictures), was significantly bigger, with a dated but slightly nicer bathroom. 119 was also more updated although the carpet was torn up in some places and kinda gross.
