Disappointing
Was disappointed with everything except the team at the reception whom I met in the morning. The lady was very sweet and warm. she even volunteered to help me with the luggage. But besides that there was nothing good about this hotel.
Very disappoint experience during check-in . Not as per Hilton standards. Also far from city centre.
I had booked this hotel because of the Hilton brand but was extremely disappointed. I was on a road trip in Ireland for more than 2 weeks so had lot of luggage. I reached Hilton at around noon but the room was not ready. The lady at the reception was very nice and helpful. She asked me to wait for an hour but since I had booked my tour of Trinity college I did not wait and told her I would check-in later in the evening. When I returned the scene had changed. There was a different team on reception though the lady was also very nice and helpful but though I had booked a canal facing room she allotted me a room on the backside of the hotel. On informing her about booking category she told me that there are no canal facing rooms available but she was kind enough to inform her superior to look into my matter. I was finally allotted the canal facing room but the entire experience spoilt my holiday feeling. I felt as if I had to argue and fight with the hotel to get the room which I had booked. I strongly feel that if the rooms were not available then they should not have taken the bookings and once I booked a particular category then I should be entitled to the same without having to waste my time and energy arguing with the hotel to get that room. This was totally unwarranted from a brand like Hilton. I have stayed in other hotel (infact 5 star hotel ) in Dublin and I have experienced very warm and helpful treatment of Irish hospitability therefore the entire experience at HILTO was VERY DISAPPOINTING.
ALSO PLEASE NOTE THIS HOTEL IS NOT NEAR TO THE CITY CENTRE. You need to take a tram or taxi if you want to reach any place and at peak hours the trams are always crowded. Therefore I would never ever stay at this hotel again.

Disappointing
Messy from the works being done, outside the lift was filthy on the ground floor, was not worth £200. Beds are average. Very disappointed

From Dr Razif Ali
Stayed at the Hilton Charlemont Dublin, from 10 to 19 August 2025.
I know my review has been rather late after I left the Hilton Charlemont some time ago.
It was because I had numerous obligations to do, when I return to Malaysia.
I MUST recommend very highly the Hilton Charlemont Dublin.
I had the most comfortable stay and enjoyable sojourn at the Hilton Charlemont.
I have a lot of praises and appreciation for the Staff at the Hilton Charlemont, in that they are very efficient and hospitable to my needs.
I was very glad that the Housekeeping Service regularly made my Room very clean and fully furnished with new towels, water bottles and other essentials.
I thank very much the Housekeeping Service for periodically supplying me the Toothpaste, Toothbrush, the Shaver. I had to request for them, which are readily supplied very fast.
May I suggest if the Hilton Hotel Engineers, perhaps fit in a Bidet Connected to a Switch or Tap at the Toilet, if it is feasible in future ?
The Hotel Reception Staff and the Hotel Breakfast Catering Staff are very efficient and very attentive as well to my requests regularly.
I must compliment and wish in much gratitude, thank you very much to ALL the Staff at the Hilton Hotel Charlemont at the Hotel Reception Area, the Breakfast Catering Staff AND the Hotel Bistro ( where the musicians also performed).
I was very pleased that at one occasion, the Hotel Reception Staff, very efficiently, relaxed a Visitor to wait, who is a Professor in Paediatrics at the Lobby and the Staff phoned me up to say, he had arrived.
It may be too usual for you, but your Hotel Reception Staff was very organised, in the most welcoming Irish Hospitality kept my Visitor comfortable, “waiting”.
I was “clumsy” that day, and wanted to wait for him at the Hotel Lobby but I didn’t, because I had to check on something in my room.
There is NOTHING which I don’t like.

The staff here are fantastic especially Carlos on the front desk! The housekeepers cleaning the rooms do a really good job and were very friendly also!
Gym was good and the rooms big and spacious
Probably the breakfast foods with the hot choices could be better seasoned for flavour and some more items added to the range

Two people really stood out, Julianna who helped me with the Charlemont suite and made sure the drills didn't interfere with the course I was running for Dept. And the room service guy, he was wonderful.
Viognier (white wine) on your wine list!
