Poor
95% of the time the staff were extremely helpful and friendlyunless you asked about doing laundry.
Very walkable distance to downtown, and the common areas are always kept tidy. The kitchen is very orderly, and theres a nice outside area.
If you stay for a long amount of time, your sheets are changed weekly, really nice. Also the outlets by each bed are handy, although it would be good to have individual lights as well.
They dont actually have laundry. When I tried I was told it was too busy and Id have to use the laundromat 2 blocks away- there is only 1 machine for the whole building.
Bathrooms in the halls are cleaned 2-4 times/day, but the ensuites are only cleaned once in the dorms. They are constantly damp, hair and water everywhere, and out of toilet paper. There are no power outlets in the bathrooms. Some of the cleaner hallway bathrooms have tidier showers but the head are broken so its handheld shower wash only.
The lockers under the beds are metallic, loud, and bent so even if people try to be quiet in the evening, the lockers make this impossible. Not the hostels fault, but the guests are mixed and youre probably going to have people coming at all hours, or drunk guys snoring loud enough to rival a train.
The kitchen is actually locked off 4.5 hours/day. Access to the laundry is also blocked during this time. I appreciate that the kitchen is always clean, but it needs to be closed for only 45 minutes at a time, not 1.5 hours - double the cleaning staff and half the time imo. I also had people spill beverages on my food in the fridge twice- the fridges were crowded because 1 was broken.
The internet slowed down significantly in the evening when everyone was home. The chapel rooms were humid and damp - partially because there is no fan in the bathroom and theyre only cleaned once/day despite being the bathroom for 12-16 people. Theres also only 1 window, which is in the ceiling and has to be opened by staff.
Towels are expensive to rent and locks arent available for rent. The mattresses are thin, foam, crib-like. Passable but not comfortable by any means.

Very convenient location, nice touch with plants in our room.
Lots of stairs were difficult with luggage. We were on the 3rd floor.

Decent location about 15-20 minutes walk from the centre. Clean with friendly staff.
A twin room apparently means bunk beds - with really narrow rails to climb up, making a midnight trip to the toilet a painful experience for bare feet.
Breakfast was very minimal - toast and jam with a piece of fruit if you're lucky.

Helpful staff. Affordable for Dublin prices.
But of a rough area especially at night. Quite a long walk from the centre.

The Hostel is a little walk away from the city center, but you can still reach everything in foot or catch a bus close by. There's some Pubs etc. around which are not super touristy. The Hostel offers free breakfast, which was quite good. The bathrooms etc. are clean, which is quite impressive condisering the size of the place. The price was adequate. Luggage storage was easily accessible.
The "Chapel Experience" Room has nice windows, but that's about all the room has got going for it. Of course, in a crowded 16 dorm you'd expect some noise. This is made worse, though, by the room actually being the way to yet another big dorm (rooms A and B), so if you're in the first one you get double the noise and an additional loud door. The beds are shaky, so you feel everything your bunk mate does, and the mattresses have seen much better days. There's no spot to put anything if you're on the top bunk nor a private light. So, I would consider the Hostel again, just not this dorm.

Property was in a good location for walking downtown.
The hostel sign was very hard to see/find - we drove past a couple times.

Safe
Smell in the room beacause of lots of stinky shoes. Shouldnt be allowed to have outdoor shoes in the same area as bedrooms. Shower area should be cleaned before 7 in the morning or at least not all shower rooms should be under the cleaning process at the same time. We was not allowed to use bathroom because they were not finished to clean.
