We paid for an upgrade but the room was still substandard.examples; no lock on bathroom door .No walk in shower ,only plastic shower curtain over the bath..All the fixtures and fittings in the foot were substandard.we booked online on the basis of the photographs which the room did not match in anyway.It was so bad that after 20 mins we just had to leave and check in to another hotel,which for only slightly higher cost ,more was far superior in every way .

The hotel is so centrally located that it is an easy walk to all the main attractions. Our room was on the 3rd floor facing the main street and it was not noisy and quite pleasant. The room was cleaned daily and the staff, Guzel and Maddy at reception, the cleaning ladies and the bar/breakfast personnel were all so helpful, welcoming and friendly.
We went to the Guinness experience and took a day excursion to the Cliffs of Moher which Guzel helped us book on our arrival.

Disappointing
You pay for the location, not for the quality of the Hotel, the shower when on hadn't been sealed/screwed at a joint so it would spray water above the shower curtain wetting all the room, one side of the bed headboard had just been screwed in through the headboard to hold it up, the toilet almost got blocked but with a couple of flushes sorted it self, the room had no heating or aircon function available, and one of the nights there was no hot water, we were told an engineer was on their way to resolve this problem but then later found out by a different member of staff that if to many people use the hot water then it takes a while for it to get hot again so clearly a problem they know about but decided to give different information the first time and the pictures on line are very deceiving to the reality of what you get.
