The style and castle vibe was so cool with period correct decorating. Our room roomy, nice and clean. The restaurant had excellent food.
It’s a bit difficult to get to and parking is challenging.

Location and premises were great.The hotel itself is beautiful and interesting to look at and walk around and the bar staff were helpful & accommodating.
Neither me nor my partner slept well the two nights we stayed, the pillows were so high & the mattress sagged in the middle. We asked for flatter/different pillows & received two throw pillows that you might find on a sofa lol we had lunch the first day we stayed and it wasn't great, the fried chicken was soggy/mushy & the salad was tasteless. Best thing about our lunch was the coffee. Pretty disappointing for the price of the stay, feels like you're paying for the gimmick of the hotel.

The fact that part of it was a castle. And close to the beautiful Bull Island
Shared areas for example lounge and breakfast too much furniture and too crowded. Decor not to my taste for a historic property

It's pretty at night and there's a nice bar
The fire alarm that woke us up and kept us out of our room for almost an hour. The elevators wouldn't work when we were leaving so we had to carry all of our luggage down the stairs. The staff didn't seem to care or even offer to help. I wouldn't recommend ever again.

The hotel is beautiful .
The fire alarm went off at 5.30 am so we had to leave which was fully understandable. How ever it was very poorly handled by the staff nobody checked which rooms we were from and no member of staff was outside to make sure people were no 1 safe and accounted for.. The fire brigade arrived to people standing in the way and also in the porch of the hotel . It truly is a magical place to stay but there fire evacuation plan needs serious attention. .
