I loved the decor.
There was a wedding & the room we were staying in we could hear the music blaring. If we had kids they wouldnt of slept! But other than that no complaints

The location and the staff.
Overall it was very overpriced. Even at that breakfast was not included. Only the eating areas were in the castle. The rooms were just in the hotel, they were cramped, and the shower had mildew.

The history, excellent staff who were attentive, friendly and always somebody available. Very comfortable room and plenty of space to relax around the inside of the hotel. Amazing breakfast! Plenty of parking, bus really easy into the city.
Would have been nice to have some usable outdoor space in the August Irish sunshine. Aircon was effective but could have been quieter. Ideal spot to explore the coast and the city.

The wait staff in the Knight’s Bar- particularly Kate.
On check-in the property took a hold on my credit card for the cost of the room and then an extra sum without explaining the reason. It turns out it was so I could charge extras to my room.
I was not impressed by this - they should have asked permission.
Our pillows were terrible and we just wanted a light blanket rather than a heavy duvet but there was not one available.

Everything…beautiful hotel…comfortable rooms….fabulous breakfast service . One of the best restaurants ….lived that it was outside of Dublin, so it was quiet and peaceful.

Fabulous staff, reception was great and Marko went out if his way to ensure we were happy and all our needs were met. The staff in the main restaurant were also excellent and again ensured we were well looked after.
The pillows were all the same size (too high) so would have preferred a choice (medium) so that all tasted were catered for. Duvet was too warm as we don’t like using air conditioning butbwe removed the inner and just used the cover as a sheet which worked well.
