They left us some chocolates and a lovely card for our 10 year anniversary
Window in family room couldn't be open with a toddler in the room (it was a sliding window on 6th floor). We will however stay here again.

I had to beg to change rooms at 3 a.m. because of the noise from the pipes. They had to come and check before moving me. Trust your guests — we don’t complain for no reason

The staff, the hotel itself, the buzz around it, the location
There was no structure with breakfast, it was a free for all. I honestly think if there was a one way system, in and an out, it would defo be less chaotic. A lovely breakfast though

Pleasant
Fairly centrally located hotel. Big breakfast with lots of choice. Quiet room. Cleaning had been done properly. Nice to have a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Good also to have soap+shampoo in the bathroom.
Check-in machines on the premises were tedious to use and you have to fill in several pages of forms and hand-sign it on the machine before being allowed to check in - despite the fact that I had provided all my details electronically in advance. It did not save any time whatsoever compared to queuing up for the desk, so a machine with long check-in procedures will only make tired and weary travellers very unhappy and does definitely not give a good first impression of a 4-star hotel. Other competing 4-star hotels do definitely not have such tedious check-in procedures, so please revise your check-in at the machines.
Breakfast room was big and extremely busy and noisy during peak hours in the morning (9-10). Guests should not have to have their breakfast earlier only to have some more peace and quiet. Please consider putting in screens between the tables to dampen the noise.
Spa is advertised big on your homepage, but it was not much else than one bigger pool and a jacuzzi and a tiny baby pool that was full of families all the time. Very pungent smell of chlorine in the pool, so you might consider the amount of chemicals that you put into the water. Toilets in the spa section were not that tidy. Fellow guests - please be aware that spa facilities are included, but the use of a swimming cap was compulsory at the rate of EUR 3, so you had to buy it in case you did not bring one. However, there seems to be some kind of priority order where members are not obliged to wear a swimming cap (we saw several men and women with longer hair walk around without a cap on their head, so apparently members of the spa do not have to bother??).

Room was nice and good sized. Hotel is located in a good place, while a bit far from city centre, with restaurants and cafes around.
Unacceptable not having air conditioner for a hotel of this category/price. The kettle's filter was green of mold and dirt. I had to remove it so I can use the kettle.
Thank you for your information!
