The room was very clean
There was lots of constriction work going on in the hotel and we were not informed of this. The ball cock in the water tank was filling all night so you could hera it... the construction work started at 7.45 and they were banging for 35 mins then they stopped and started again,we also had drilling. We had out young son with us so we were all awake since after 6. Some residents were roaring out of their bedroom windows telling them to keep down the noise. It was the worst hotel stay we ever had. We are very disappointed and sadly we won't be returning.

Good basic and functional hotel in a decent location. About 20 mins walk to the center. Room was large and clean. Staff were very friendly.

Breakfast buffet for was very good! My first room location was horrible as all the construction noise/hammering/etc. that started before 7:30am was very distracting. Front desk staff moved me to another room and it was a huge improvement.
Don't book any sleeping rooms just above or near the contruction noise.

I like the accessibility of Clayton Hotel Cardiff Dublin to 3Arena as my husband and I attended a show there recently. And the parking area ( Best Car Park ) was just at the back of the Hotel. Dublin City Centre was just a few minutes walk away as well.
There could be a great improvement for the Reception Staff/s that day. We arrived on the 19th of July 2025. The receptionist was more "occupied" than welcoming. On the Computer and On the phone and not a bother for a genuine Hello. I have to repeat what I was saying to her as I was informing her that we would like to check in. It was too early for check in so we left our luggage and a back pack. She doesn't look Happy to see the guests and more stressed out I supposed.
On the other hand the staff/s at the Restaurant for Breakfast the next day we're so friendly and accomodating and guide us the way to the buffet and our table.

Great location. Fantastic breakfast. Breakfast staff were super friendly.
Wish we had been warned that the facility was under construction...it was a surprise. Didn't disrupt our stay..just unexpected.
Also ..no lotion in the bathrooms? Come on...

Excellent breakfast and spa facilities, brilliant central location that mad it very easy to get around.
Building was undergoing renovation in the lobby area which was a little disruptive. No car parking facilities.
