the room rate they charged me was very high while the next night was half price i stayed there alot but would not go back because the raised there price double i asked next mornen for something back or some kind of refund they sain the rate was high because of the oasis concert but i wasnt at the concert dont understand please relate this back to claton hotels an im asking for some kind of refund or a free night in hotel to take price down abit or we wont be returning

The hotel is really great - clean, organised, excellent staff, superb breakfast and very comfortable beds/bedrooms. The bathrooms need a refresh - showers over baths are not great in 2025 - but otherwise a really enjoyable 3 days there. Location is a little walk (15 minutes) to town but there are plenty of taxis and buses if you don't fancy the trek but when I was there the weather was great so it was good to walk and you eventually reach St Stephen's Park and that is lovely to stroll through.
