Disappointing
The room was nice, and good area to get to everything.
To go to the pool, you have e to go right through the hotel, and past the restaurants. You have to wear swim hats, so my kids would not go, so wasted money, on a hotel that we could not use the pool. There were no loungers by the pool, and it was rented out all day for swimming lessons, and public. In 7 days our room was cleaned 3 times. The remote broke, then the fridge broke, and we lost the food we had brought, as everything in Dublin was so expensive.

Disappointing
Close to Liffey Valley and secure parking
Hotel was grubby and smelled in corridors. Rooms were standard and bathroom wasnt clean. Restaurant for dinner service was por staff weren't helpful and mixed up orders also Breakfast had to wait 20 minutes for food to be replenished staff were slow to clear off tables so area was cluttered. We were woken at 7am with loud music from nearby gym went on for 45 minutes

The staff were nice
The staff were nice but overall my stay was disappointing
My room smelled like smoke, i was then moved to another. There was a huge bag of rubbish outside one of the other rooms for almost the two days i was there until i called down. It wasnt explained to me that the cleaning was only done every few days so in my two day stay my room wasnt cleaned. The price was super expensive considering the rooms are very old, dated and breakfast wasnt included. Fire alarm went off at 1am. The room was very hot. The fridge wasnt working. The food i bought was super expensive. It was just one thing after another

The staff at the front desk were nice on arrival.
Very overpriced stay, we got a deluxe suite which was very standard with a bed that was like a wooden bench. No a/c in the room which with the quality of the mattress on the bed, had me awake until about 2:30a.m my lower back is in pain from the bed. Having guests pay €10 for parking is shocking after over paying for a room in my opinion. We had to ring front desk for our room service order it took that long about 1 hour and 20 minutes and cost us €93. The noise of helicopters and sirens also wasnt very helpful sleeping. The leisure centre was like some local shower centre, the lockers were all broken with no way of closing your locker unless you brought your own padlock which we wouldnt usually bring with us on our travels. The pool felt filthy, as for the jacuzzi, we sat in that for no more than 3 or 4 minutes as we couldnt breath and thought our eyes were going to burn out of our heads and it felt filthy also. The only good thing about this hotel is the location as its easy to get on the motorway and drive away from it as quick as possible.

very comfortable room and beds. breakfast was very tasty, good variety and lovely and hot to table. Wonderful staff who are a credit to the Clayton Hotel, nice bright dining room.

Outstanding location
Had lot of issues getting through car park barrier - got a ticket to allow me come and go but it didn’t work even after getting 2 replacement tickets and other people mentioned they had same issue. Hotel should lift barrier if system not working rather than inconveniencing guests.
