The hotel was in a convenient location for my journey. It had all the facilities you would expect for the price. The fact that it had a protected car park was good.
I have stayed in two other Clayton hotels and this was not as good as either. The car parking situation was just downright confusing. The staff member who booked me in said I would have to pay but the staff member who checked me out said that I did not have to. The barrier machine was not straightforward to use. The toilet was a bit dirty at the bottom. The walls were thin and the 'activity' from next door could be clearly heard.

Fantastic location rooms were lovely as was the food
Trying to pay car park had a very rude young man in reception. As I only had cash on me and couldn’t pay by card at the machine, 3 times I went to reception for a ticket to leave the car park and in the end the ticket was thrown over the counter to me and as he did so he says here and turned and walked away. So rude

Close to shopping. Comfortable beds. Good food
The exit bar in car park did not work when leaving despite having paid for parking when booking in. Had to run to reception to get a ticket

Wonderful
Had dinner in bar. Food was well presented and delicious. Staff at reception were very friendly. I liked the safety aspect of getting to lifts on ground floor and also when ordering a taxi.
Pool area could have been cleaner,needs updating. however staff there were lovely.
