Our room was charming and comfortable, and the antique ambience is lovely. The staff are so accommodating, and answered our questions about bus routes, restaurants etc.
We enjoyed the food at The Castle very much, including afternoon tea we booked there. The Vault dining room was very nice, and we enjoyed the music there in the evening.
The Castle is in a great location; quiet at night but easy to reach anything you'd like to do inn Dublin.
I can't think of a thing.

Very Good
Most things I liked- friendly and efficient staff, room big and comfortable, breakfast included in the price.
Some things still not to like very much (I don't think the hotel can do anything about them) ; the location is a bit unpredictable after dark/ the hotel itself is a maze of older buildings - old and characterful, but difficult to get your bearings/ clean ,but not spotless. A bit expensive by European standards ( but still relatively inexpensive by Dublin standards......?!)

Good
Good location and comfortable beds.
Nice bathroom as well.
I had expected the room to be bigger given the cost. I had also anticipated a 4 star hotel would have a fridge, safe and more toiletries provided.

I loved the history of this place! The staff was amazing. The meals, and live entertainment and complimentary breakfast was all great.
I would definitely stay here again.

Good
Clean, well-appointed Georgian hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Located 5 mins' walk from O'Connell Street Upper and the Aircoach (to/from Dublin airport) bus stops in both directions. Had to leave before the full Irish breakfast was available, but the continental breakfast buffet was available 30 minutes earlier and offered a good spread of breads, pastries, cereals, ham, cheese, etc. Free wi-fi worked well.
Staying anywhere in Dublin centre feels expensive, and the rate for Castle Hotel felt in-line with others available and was one the cheaper ones still available.

We liked everything about this hotel. We really enjoyed Celtic Nights one evening too. We have been on a tour of Galway, Dublin, Greece, Edinburgh & The Highlands of Scotland. This was our favourite hotel.

Staff very friendly for the most part
The young bar man doing the stock take in the evening was a bit rude, not really front of house material manners

Pleasant
This hotel is in a good location for exploring central Dublin - a 20-30 min walk or a short bus ride.
There was live music in the restaurant in the evening we were there (a Tuesday).
Our room faced the road; it had two sash windows, one of which was stuck open - this meant a LOT of traffic noise (buses started at about 05:30) and hence disturbed sleep
Parking was available (at a cost), but the parking area was very small and cars were allowed to block other cars - be aware this could cause a delay when leaving
Breakfast arrangements were very odd, with continental breakfast on the ground floor and cooked breakfast in the main restaurant downstairs - who wants to walk up and down stairs carrying plates of food; why didn't they just have it all in the (capacious) restaurant?

Breakfast lovely full Irish. Room lovely if a little stuffy. Had to have the fan on all night for comfort. Hotel 5 minutes walk from bus stop which took you directly to the airport, Evening entertainment was very good but was for diners. We could still hear the music in the small bar area, Final night found another perfect annex where you could listen to the music and still talk.
The cost of the hotel a little steep especially if a single traveller. Although was told a deposit would be taken, wasn't told how much had been taken. At breakfast the waiter didn't point out jams/marmalades available.
Thank you for your information!
