Fantastic free morning breakfast. Location was within walking distance to many attractions and pubs.
Parking was rough (but it was everywhere in the city). I wouldn't hold this against this establishment at all and the staff was very helpful with parking.

Comfy bed. Clean accommodation
Chipped paint on bannisters.
Dark no mode lighting in restaurant. Needed mountaineering skills to get to our room even after using the lift. No sign in bedroom to advise or warn you of the 70mm step up into the bathroom.

The staff were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The bar area was brilliant with live music and reasonably prices drinks. Breakfast delicious. Hotel is full of character.
The room is definitely not 4 star but it is clean - bed is comfy and bathroom quite modern. The shower faced directly outwards so had to balance it to have a reasonable shower, the water took about 10 mins to heat up. There was cracked paint on the ceiling. No bedside lamps. Cleaner walked in our room and woke us up when we were still asleep.

It would be nice if the window could be opened normally because it was a bit hot in the rooms.
