We attended a concert at Malahide castle. It was an easy drive from the hotel. We had a great night sleep. The hotel staff were fantastic. A lovely girl greeted us at reception. We ate in the bar, the staff were super accommodating with a food intolerance request. The pool facilities are really good. I was not expecting the spa pool, steam room and sauna.
There was a stain on the curtain from the window being open. That was the only thing, and im nitpicking, it didn't affect our stay. It's a basic hotel but that's what we wanted, it checks all the boxes, while the prices are very reasonable for Dublin.

You couldn’t open the windows and there’s no air con this is needed especially with the warm weather.

Front of hotel was very grubby especially where all the Ukraines are staying in the hotel.
Entrance of the hotel had lots of cigarette butts on the ground. But signs say no smoking.
Executive king room was a divide on the bed which was highly uncomfortable it was as if it was 2 single beds pushed together.
Shower very slow at getting hotel.
Also met a guest in the lift who told me he is so high after smoking a joint that he was staying the night for work. The smell was terrible.

The pool and steam room were very welcome after arrival! The room itself was a very good size but end of the bed and the desk were very close, had to squeeze through. Could look at the layout. However, the bathroom was great and we had everything we needed.
I felt that it was overpriced, I am now aware of the all-Ireland Hurling Final at Croke Park that weekend! That could have been mentioned before/during booking and is probably why the basic room was quite expensive.
