Lovely building & in a nice quiet part of dublin with plenty of parking available. Bed was comfy.
For a supposed 4* hotel i wasnt impressed. Mould on grout, towels smelt like curry, stained baby cot and no fridge in the room. A shame because reviews are good online but didnt meet expectations. And I probably wouldnt book again. I didnt have food there or interact much with staff who seemed nice Restaurant & bar down below ground level so no windows. Was annoyed id booked again for a further 2 nights after staying outside of dublin for a few days.

Disappointing
Not much. A standard hotel room. The breakfast was good with lots of options. It was much better once I realized you could order fresh eggs instead of having the powdered scrambled eggs served at the buffet.
The cost was exorbitant for what it ended up being. We splurged and booked this stay as our last destination in Ireland hoping it would cap a great trip. It ended up being about the same as some of our places that cost ⅓ of the price elsewhere in Ireland. The building itself is really cool from the outside but there is no charm remaining inside the hotel where the rooms have been redone into a standard cookie-cutter hotel room with no outstanding appeal.
There is no AC and we ended up being in a muggy, hot room most of the time because there isn’t even an exhaust vent in the bathroom to suck up moisture and steam.
There is no fridge in the room to keep leftovers well.
The shower drain was clogged and we were standing in ankle deep water by the end of each shower.
And finally the WiFi was not great. It was by far faster to use data on my phone.
All in all, I wouldn’t be nearly as picky if we had paid half of what this cost. But for over €200 a night and in such a cool old building I expected much more. Whether it be fewer amenities but cool old charm remaining in the rooms or greater amenities in the rooms as is.

Room was nice and clean, only 1 teabag for 2 people? Abit mean.
Reception staff didn't advise times for breakfast which I had paid for and as I turned up at 10.15am was told it was finished, it was now to be given to the staff! Very rude.
No check out time advised either. I work in high end hospitality - both of these are key points which should have been part of the welcome to the guest.
