We enjoyed the overall ambiance of the hotel and property. It was quite lovely.
The hotel must have been hosting some function for a large group of people. As we had to park in a gravel overfill parking lot, one evening, it was full of young people drinking alcohol. It made us feel uncomfortable.

The property was beautiful. The staff was exceptional.
There was no air conditioning. It was a 80+ degree day and the windows didn’t open. The staff moved our room to the back and gave us a fan. It helped a little.

Very kind checkin staff. We arrived early and had a few excursions scheduled and they were very kind to allow us to store our luggage before our rooms were ready. And allowed us to park our car and call a taxi. Offered to call the taxi for us. We had scheduled dinner in the Bistro and had wonderful steak dinners. Nice upscale menu. Beautiful decor complete with fresh flower vases throughout the halls and main areas.

Excellent stay. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable. The hotel offers a great restaurant(we did not try) and a very nice bar. Plenty of free parking on site. Highly recommend.

Beautiful open bar, patio, amazing restaurant and dinner. Shower was stellar.
Construction began early and was not disclosed to guests in any way, not at booking, not prior to arrival in “welcome” message, not at check-in…just suddenly had men replacing siding outside our window, early.

Decor was nice
Location required transportation. The restaurant was the worst food and the most expensive meal we had in Ireland. Nobody warned us that we were next to a “pet friendly” room. Seriously, we’re dog lovers, but who brings their barking dog to a hotel. After two calls, the front desk offered to move US to another room. Unacceptable.

The staff are truly wonderful, kind and helpful in every way. They all do a wonderful job.
There is an extra charge for everything, incl. early check in, €10 tray delivery service from bar, expensive costs if you stain a towel by accident. The bar did not offer syrups, or take away cups. The rooms were very expensive, and small. It's bland in some parts, yet pretty in others, especially the older part of the house.
