Great location - smart appearance.
Very poor check in experience. Despite booking & paying 7 months in advance I was told our ‘class of room’ was 1st come 1st served & only 1 room left( Checking in around 16.15 ) The room was actually fine apart from looking out on a wall but we felt we were getting the dregs of what was left on the basis the hotel was busy!

The location was great. The river with swans a ducks was beautiful.
Perhaps more than one plug/outlet near the beds would be nice when there are two beds in a room but definitely not a complaint!

Things don’t work. It’s large and badly kept. “Management shall get out of their offices and inspect the rooms.”
Could be worse, but for in a 14h stay there were three issues: 1) no ticket at the entry to the garage, with lengthy discussions emerging from this; 2) Bathroom issues: sink plug / drain stopper is of a strange make, one needs to open it by hand (!), quite disgusting after the sink is half full; and worst of all: toilet doesn’t flush properly.
Receptionist asks strange, intrusive questions, but fails to provide basic information (elevator works with room card, you need to leave the room by…) or ask useful questions (Do you want breakfast? Are you using the parking?) to know how to better help. Again, management seems to be very far away - is there a standard protocol for receptionist, was the person trained to follow it or does she and her bosses think that she will find out in time how do it right?
Worst hotel in Ireland from the 4 I’ve been to until now, all in the EUR200+ per night category.

The air-conditioning was not working. It was hot at night. They did give us a fan and w had small windows open
...but wish the ac worked on the 2 hot days we had on our visit.
