We were originally booked for 2 nights in the Maldron but got some really tragic news the first night of our stay. We had to check out a day early and the hotel went out of their way to refund us for the second night. Their generosity and compassion was incredible and we received the refund just a day later. They did not have to do what they did and we'll be forever grateful.

Nice hotel with large family room. A short walk to Cork city centre.
Family room was like a sauna with no a/c and only 1 small fan. None of us slept at all due to room temperature. But there was a heat wave.

It was very hot in the room, we had to get the fan from the car!
The beds were not very comfy, I was half asleep when I drove back to Galway.
The fridge arrived within 5 minutes but it was all downhill from there!
The food at breakfast was ok, but the food in the bar was expensive and awful.
