Very close to shopping areas and good facilities in the hotel. Good choice of food. Hotel was well decorated for Christmas and had a lovely atmosphere.
Parking a bit far away and impossible to get a taxi between 8.30 and 9.30 in the morning despite having booked one through the desk. Taxi company dropped the booking on 2 occasions despite accepting it. Not the hotels fault I know but we were travelling to an important event and using our own car which was parked 10 minutes away was not an option.

Beautiful lobby and bar. Staff were very nice.
It was too hot in the room, and we couldn't sleep when we opened the window with the sound of seagulls. Our key cards were deactivated before we checked out and I couldn't access the Frederick Douglas lounge.

Welcome by a very friendly and helpful gentleman concierge. He made us feel at ease immediately and took away the stress of driving into a foreign city.
Excellent location!
Food at the restaurant was amazing and the cocktail bar was lovely.
Car park is a little walk away. Manageable for us with a short stay but might be off-putting for some. It is the trade off for being in the city centre though
