It was absolutely gorgeous! Georgian architecture and rolling lawns. The hostess was very helpful and nice. There is a recreation room with a honor bar that we thoroughly enjoyed. I would have loved to stay longer.

The property was beautiful, the owner/staff was very welcoming, the room was beautifully decorated and very charming, and breakfast was delicious!
My only regret was that I wasn't staying more than one night!

Breakfast was good. Cute property. My kids enjoyed playing in the yard. Beautiful property. The rec room was really cool. Everything felt clean.
The rooms have jacuzzi tubs, but we weren't to use them although no one told us not to use them. Gunk came out of them when we did attempt to use it. In one of the rooms the shower didn't work. It worked out that the family staying in that room were able to use our shower, but it's a disappointment that they couldn't use their own shower.

Absolutely perfect place, in every way! The hostess, Jackie (or Jacky?) was very welcoming and talkative. Room, breakfast, parking, access, "pub" in an annex, all absolutely PERFECT. Stayed for two nights, would happily stay for a week or two!
There's nothing to dislike about this!

Good
The location was absolutely gorgeous and the views from the house were lovely.
The shower/tub was outdated. The sheets and towels could use a refresh, many were stained or frayed.

Pleasant
. Location was pleasant for taking a stroll after arriving.
Internet connection was very poor, almost non-existent. Choices on the breakfast menu for someone who doesn't eat meat were limited. The coffee was not good.

Grounds were beautiful. Wonderful old house that has been taken care of. It was quiet and peaceful
The shower was very difficult to operate. It was so hot and I could not figure out how to make it cooler

Wonderful
House magnificent - like in movie Gone with the Wind. Host was very patient. We arrived several hours before reservation, came by a taxi, had tire/cracked rim car rental issues so had no transportation. Had to rent a taxi to take us to Macroom for dinner, 60 euros each way. Missed a sit down breakfast before we left at 8 am but had a quick bowl of cereal. Towels nice and soft.
Wasn't expecting to walk down the hallway to the bathroom. It was a big bathroom, the shower lots of gadgets so had to ask how to work it. Left the light on over the sink so didn't have to turn the overhead light on.

Cannaway B&B is a beautiful, plantation-style home set on a large and well-kept property — a peaceful and picturesque place to relax. The room we stayed in was comfortable, nicely furnished and offered a lovely view of the surrounding area.
Our hostess was very kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast the next morning was cooked to order — it was delicious and a perfect start to the day.
The only suggestion I would offer is to improve the signage leading to the property, as it was a bit tricky to find at first. That said, once you arrive, it’s well worth it.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a quiet and charming setting. Highly recommended!

Charming, filled with beautiful antiques. Delicious breakfast. Fun lounge to hang out in evening.
Expensive. Only restaurant it was close to was decent, but expensive for what was offered.

The breakfast was fantastic!!!
The shower/tub was not ideal. Would have like a shade on the bathroom window. It had a sheer curtain.

Breakfast was nice and the living room area with a pool table was nice.
Extremely difficult to find. GPS in car was not helpful. Even my google map on phone led us down a side road that proved to be difficult to turn the car around (we backed it down). The shower was not very good, the toilet hard to flush. It was just ok and I would not return there or recommend. The woman checking us in and serving breakfast was pleasant and welcoming.

Delicious traditional Irish home-made breakfast showcasing local products. Kept me going for the whole day. My mother-in-law always prided herself on a wonderful breakfast this was better.

Very Good
I loved the charming interior of the property, especially the dining room but also the hallways and the room itself. It is locate off-the-grid and is embedded in nature
These points are minor but still worth mentioning:
- noises: the walls are thin so you hear other tenants, the dogs outside barking a lot and loud (like at a party) music played in the morning
- the bathroom isn’t very inviting, I was lucky not to get the defective whirlpool room but elected not to shower anyway as it didn’t look nice
- the WiFi wasn’t great so don’t plan to do work meetings

The location is beautiful. Our host was great with lots of suggestions of what to see and do locally. She suggested a local restaurant which was also great. There is a nice bar/TV/games room which was lovely to wind down in at the end of the day. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.
