Good
It was a nice secluded location. Everyone was very lovely and breakfast was very good and huge!
The beds in the family room were not comfortable. And it was a warm evening and unfortunately, we could not open the windows very far.

Pleasant
Pretty location and nice room for our family of four. Good breakfast!
Beds were uncomfortable. The beds sunk into the middle so our backs hurt the next day.

So Cannaway is a little off the beaten path but not too far from N22. It was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast had a full menu choice and not limited to full Irish. My son was happy to get a pancake! Due to someone else having a triple - we opted for the full & two twins - I think. The room was large and perfect for our two night stay. The bathroom was across the hall instead of attached....which was fine. The other rooms have attached bathrooms. They give you robes to use if needed.
There is tea/coffee in the upstairs hall which was nice to get a cup before retiring for the evening. Most rooms are upstairs which was OK for us, but keep this in mind if you are lugging suitcases or have mobility issues. The woman that greeted us when we arrived was delightful and recommended a local restaurant/pub that was excellent as well. It is about a 40 min drive to Killarney for planning purposes. Definitely recommended for convenience to Cork & Killarney while not being in a bigger city.
The only complaint I have is that the bathroom lighting was limited. It was hard to figure out how the shower worked. Instructions on the wall might help, but maybe it was just my poor eyesight!

Driving instructions and signage could be a little clearer.

The staff were very friendly and interesting. The house has been lovingly and impressively restored- a true labour of love.
I especially loved the high ceilings and appreciated the use of a heritage colour-scheme in the decoration.
Only slight issue was that my bed creaked when I moved- this was a very minor issue and I didnt mention to the hosts as everything else was great.

It was absolutely gorgeous! Georgian architecture and rolling lawns. The hostess was very helpful and nice. There is a recreation room with a honor bar that we thoroughly enjoyed. I would have loved to stay longer.

The property was beautiful, the owner/staff was very welcoming, the room was beautifully decorated and very charming, and breakfast was delicious!
My only regret was that I wasn't staying more than one night!

Breakfast was good. Cute property. My kids enjoyed playing in the yard. Beautiful property. The rec room was really cool. Everything felt clean.
The rooms have jacuzzi tubs, but we weren't to use them although no one told us not to use them. Gunk came out of them when we did attempt to use it. In one of the rooms the shower didn't work. It worked out that the family staying in that room were able to use our shower, but it's a disappointment that they couldn't use their own shower.

Absolutely perfect place, in every way! The hostess, Jackie (or Jacky?) was very welcoming and talkative. Room, breakfast, parking, access, "pub" in an annex, all absolutely PERFECT. Stayed for two nights, would happily stay for a week or two!
There's nothing to dislike about this!

The location was absolutely gorgeous and the views from the house were lovely.
The shower/tub was outdated. The sheets and towels could use a refresh, many were stained or frayed.

Pleasant
. Location was pleasant for taking a stroll after arriving.
Internet connection was very poor, almost non-existent. Choices on the breakfast menu for someone who doesn't eat meat were limited. The coffee was not good.

Grounds were beautiful. Wonderful old house that has been taken care of. It was quiet and peaceful
The shower was very difficult to operate. It was so hot and I could not figure out how to make it cooler

Wonderful
House magnificent - like in movie Gone with the Wind. Host was very patient. We arrived several hours before reservation, came by a taxi, had tire/cracked rim car rental issues so had no transportation. Had to rent a taxi to take us to Macroom for dinner, 60 euros each way. Missed a sit down breakfast before we left at 8 am but had a quick bowl of cereal. Towels nice and soft.
Wasn't expecting to walk down the hallway to the bathroom. It was a big bathroom, the shower lots of gadgets so had to ask how to work it. Left the light on over the sink so didn't have to turn the overhead light on.

Cannaway B&B is a beautiful, plantation-style home set on a large and well-kept property — a peaceful and picturesque place to relax. The room we stayed in was comfortable, nicely furnished and offered a lovely view of the surrounding area.
Our hostess was very kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast the next morning was cooked to order — it was delicious and a perfect start to the day.
The only suggestion I would offer is to improve the signage leading to the property, as it was a bit tricky to find at first. That said, once you arrive, it’s well worth it.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a quiet and charming setting. Highly recommended!
