Factor 50 sun cream was on offer during Storm Agnes which was a nice touch. Loved the banter and Jim and Margaret were charming informative hosts. Breakfast was continental but plentiful after a week elsewhere of Irish breakfasts. The whole place is immaculately clean.
A lack of pool table and any panda pictures in the bathroom spoilt it a little.....other than that.....faultless!!

Hosts Margaret and Jim were amazing. They made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. It was like a home away from home. You can tell their hearts and souls go into this business. The view from the room overlooked the beach and I could hear the sound of the waves as I rested. The guesthouse is beautiful overall, the room, dining room, patio area and location - couldn't be any better. I'll definitely be back to this gorgeous retreat.

5 minutes from Clonakilty (nice town, house of Michael Collins, good choices for dinner, many pubs)

Although the booking stated a shared bathroom, we did end up with exclusive access to a bathroom.
Host did provide some good information on local sites.
When messaging the property prior to arrival, the responses seemed very abrupt and rude. Once at the property, the host was friendly but hovered a lot, which felt like an invasion of privacy. We couldn't leave or enter the building without her appearing to chat again. On departure, she followed us out to the carpark to ask for us to leave a review, then sent a follow-up text message asking the same thing later that day.

We had a great stay at the bethel guest house. Our rooms were lovely and Margaret and Jim took great care of us and were very helpful when it came to giving us tips for our trip. We felt very welcome and would recommend this accomodation.

Absolutely everything was perfect! Margaret and Jim were the perfect hosts and they bent over backwards to make our stay so memorable! Wished it was longer than one night! Highly recommend!

Bethel Guesthouse was a beautiful home in a gorgeous location. Margaret and Jim were so lovely, we felt like part of the family. Their home was beautiful and the view from our room was breathtaking. We would definitely recommend this property to others and will be returning when we are travelling again.

Margareth and Jima are really fantatisc hosts. They took care of us and kept us ad part of the family. The house is a wonderful position with ocean view and the breakfast was really good.
