Disappointing
The lobby was cute, and the breakfast traditional and cool!
We didn't realize this property was right off the freeway. That definitely dampened the vibe a bit. The room was fine, but we didn't feel particularly relaxed in there.

Good breakfast, our room was quiet.
The manager just didn’t respond to a query of changing dates. Still waiting. The staff were very abrupt, no good morning or anything civil but tea or coffee ? Sit there. Not convenient unless you had a car. Buses ran late( obviously not the properties fault) so public transportation was not a great alternative in the rain. Would have liked a breakfast menu to browse rather than having it rattled off before even sitting down. The property is very tired and can do with a lot of cleaning. Mold in the shower, flaking paint, couch in the room sagged, felt like little or no thought to the furniture. We stayed in places with antique furniture before but it felt good. This was not the case here. Breakfast was good but not great.

The breakfast was good (altho there was a fly buzzing around open food every day.)
Fresh towels everyday.
Beds neatened everyday.
Bus stops in front of house.
There is mold in the bathroom, the fly at breakfast, the staff wasn’t particularly friendly, and the location didn’t lend itself to walking as there are no restaurants or shops nearby. Only one set of keys; when asked we were grumbled at.

The furnace was timed. I was cold until they finally came on. The towel heater was not functional. The toilet kept moving away from the wall and was very loud. Noise from other guests. No breakfast menu.

Good location if you don’t want to stay right in downtown cork. They have free parking. Was easy to get Ubers to and from the lodge.
The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were really thin. The room was really dusty.

Wonderful
Clean & comfortable. Nice location and a great garden. Pretty quiet but close to busy roads. Convenient but too far to walk to city center. Very nice staff. I recommend this property.
The room was large & comfortable. It needed at least 1 more mirror in the bedroom. Also another table for writing. The bathroom needs an electrical outlet.

Well, it has potential, but it’s not very well kept
The carpet in our room was disgustingly dirty. The nob to the door was broken. The bathroom was gross and filthy.

It was a great location. It was an easy walk to city center. The owners were very friendly and gracious! Breakfast was great! I would recommend the guided tour at Kilkenny Castle. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area!
