Pleasant
Charming buildings, lovely location, beautiful countryside, eclectic house with very attractive furniture and contents. I didn't avail of any of the food at Barnabrow although it smelled delicious!
A bit more attention to the ensuite shower controls; usability of the coffee machine etc would make the experience even better.

Good
The bed was really comfortable and zero noise at night. Got a really great sleep. The room was spacious and had charm, if not a little old and dated. Beautiful donkeys are kept in the field as you drive up. Receptionist was warm and welcoming.
I found 100 euro per night quite steep for this room. The coffee machine did not work and there was also no fridge. I went during the summer so the price likely reflected that however during my two days I never saw another soul there and the only car parked in the massive carpark was my own.

This country house is just wonderful. I've stayed here twice. Each time it was for work. I will definitely return for a personal visit. The House is beautiful. I stayed in the main house the 2nd time I visited. But the rooms across from the house are like a home from home, if your home is a beautiful period building surrounded by history. Stunning place to stay.
The breakfast is the best breakfast I've had. It comes in 2 courses, with homemade granola and fresh fruits. The cooked breakfast was just divine made with local produce from Clonakilty, Roscwrbwrry and Ballybrow's organic garden.
The stewardess of this amazing accommodation is the delightful Geraldine. She is the ray of sunshine keeping Barnabrow a bright light in the south of Ireland.
Wonderful place, wonderful staff.....just Wonderful!! I will be back, again and again.

Wonderful
Barnabrow House is set in an idyllic rural location, yet only a short drive away from Ballymaloe/Midleton/Ballycotton/Garryvoe, etc. We stayed in the lovely renovated stables, and after a wet and windy night, sat outside in glorious early February sunshine on the morning of our departure. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that aspect. The rooms were quaint and comfortable, with tea and a nespresso-type coffee machine and a large shower. There were goats and donkeys nearby, which kids would love. We got a good deal for our one-night stay, which is always a bonus!
The bed was very high, which would not be suitable for people with limited mobility. I stayed on a wet and windy night, and wind was coming under the door, but the duvet was lovely and warm so there was no problem. One of the bathroom floor tiles was loose. Otherwise no issues.

The old world charm of the rooms. Attention to detail. Its such a pretty place. I could have spent my time just examining the period pieces.
Rhe buildings are a bit all over the place, with lots of steps between reception and the main house. Going back we would drop our luggage in front of the main house instead of going to the carpark. The ahowe was a bit slippy. The news were comfy, but so high! Im not tall and could have done with a step!

Fair
The room was lovely and spacious.
I didn’t like that their was no hot water in the shower and when questioned on it a man did come and try sort it. Unfortunately we had to have cold showers as we had plans to go out and couldn’t wait any longer. On leaving the property in the morning we came across the manager who we also said this to and her reply was ‘we’ were doing something wrong as everyone else had hot water. Her attitude was atrocious if she cared about her customers she would have left a note on how to use the shower.
