The location was very good.
Bed was not comfortable. Hotel is fairly dated. I was in room 1 and could hear everything from the door chime at reception downstairs going at all hours to people walking upstairs and toilets flushing throughout the rooms.

Very Poor
Nothing.
Room was too stuffy. Noise outside from the pub was very loud. At 1:30am the sound of kegs being stacked outside woke us and then again at 5am, we were woken with the same thing. It was the worst night's sleep I ever had in a hotel. The hotel had an offer with the q-park nearby for 50% off the first night rate but because I had a tag I had to pay full price. I won't be back.

The staff and hotel location are great. I honestly think the staff are embarrassed of the hotel and interior that's why they are so nice and obliging.
This hotel desperately needs some investment. The rooms are so old. I thought it was my grans house in the 1970s. Things like the old standard mixture taps when showers became a thing. Have you ever tried to measure the flow of hot & cold water in those things ? Jeez first degree burns. Terracotta tiles in the bathrooms. Headboards are grills not modern or comfortable. Artex walls. Sell the place if you are not going to invest in it. This would make a lovely boutique hotel.

Pillows were so flat, room was very dated and extremely pokey. Shower didnt drain which meant the bathroom floor was soaking. Leaving the key at reception every time we left was annoying.

Location
The radiator in the room was turned on for the whole day when we were out. It wasn’t put on by us and it wasn’t in timer - the temperatures were roasting outside and it wasn’t near impossible to open the room window.

Engaged, professional and friendly staff. Functional, clean, inviting. There was welcoming small table and two chairs with a window view of the street that we really liked. Simple not Stiff. Comfortable not fancy.
