Good
The room was comfortable and we were able to sleep very well. We kept the windows open due to the heaters being on and wanting to stay cool. The hostess was very nice and pleasant. Breakfast the next morning was really good.
The lock on our friend's door wouldn't lock but the hostess was notified the next day to have it fixed. They put a chair up against the door for safety that night.

Wonderful
The property was really quaint and dog friendly… in fact, we chose this location because it was dog friendly. The breakfast is fantastic with fresh local produce and market finds… cheeses, meats, scones, fresh berries etc. It was exceptionally hot during our stay, (+28C) and the owner was considerate and ensured our group had fans for sleeping. The owner was very kind and personable. She chatted with us over breakfast and told us about how they recovered from the flood in 2023 and gave suggestions about the area.
Nothing. It was exactly as we expected. It is not the Taj Mahal, and it doesn’t portend to be. But it is clean, comfortable, and well worth the value.

Marie was an exceptional host and has always been to both myself and anyone I have stayed with at AnStor. Always prompt and great service with breakfast and as a host in my hometown of Midleton when I visit there from the US . Ginger and Mike ☘️?
Clean/ always helps with fresh towels and room services including some new fans since it got warm in Ireland the week we were there.

Good
Location, rooms, beds were good.
We booked bed and breakfast. We had expected the traditional Irish breakfast. On arrival we were told by the host that there was an extra charge for a cooked breakfast but she would dispense with the extra charge. By the following morning when we opted for the full Irish the attitude seemed to have changed. The breakfast was excellent but the attitude was frosty to say the least.

Very Poor
It was clean
Had to wait over 1/2 hr for someone to come even after ringing the buzzer. A painter there finally went to get the owner for us....another wait. The owner was not friendly, and somehow, she made it my fault that the 83 yr old in our party had to climb 30 stairs to get to our rooms. Said I should have known to book bottom rooms even though that option wasn't available on her website. Breakfast was so-so and supposedly included, but if you wanted eggs, you had to pay extra. I wouldn't stay there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Marie was super helpful and kind to my wife and I. She went out of her way to make sure my disabled spouse was comfortable.
The stairs were challenging.

Pleasant
Just a stones throw away from the main street! Guests are given a choice of a continental "cold" style of breakfast, or they will cook a hot meal for you. Rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable after a long day.
Our room was on the second floor, and there is no lift/elevator, so it was up and down 2 flights of stairs all day long. The shower is TINY

The host Maria was wonderful. She is a people's person . She accommodated a request for me because of my diabetes, and also an early check-in so I could rest.. She offered a cuppa and fruits, so my insulin didn't spike.. I couldn't say enough about Maria and her beautiful b and b. Everything was spotless and homely, which I loved.. Breakfast was also so relaxing. I also loved her dog Glenn, who made sure I was kept happy at all times. Wagging his tail and looking at you with those soulful eyes!?. I would highly recommend her fantastic b and b. Long may it thrive and bring rest to a weary Kerry traveller. I will definitely return ams and will tell my friends about those little GEM that I found Middleton in Co. Cork. Thank you again, Marie, for your hospitality. I will be back.???? SLÁN GO FOILL Ò CO.
