Wonderful
The hotel is lovely. For some reason our room was cold and it seems the radiator was on during certain times but still okay.
The location is good, but it is on top of the hill. It's a 20 walk to the city centre but the return is deadly.this recommend, just get a taxi back.

What we wanted on the menu wasn’t available and the selection wasn’t too great.. food portions are relatively small and expensive but they were delicious

The room was large and pretty clean, staff were nice and helpful, relatively affordable
The location looks close to town but is on a very steep hill - not an easy walk to town. The rooms are in need of renovation, breakfast is among the worst I've seen in a long time. Bad smell from cheap electric aromatizers.

Lift only went to second floor, our room was on the third floor, received help with bags on arrival, struggled down ourselves with heavy bags when leaving, should be told when booking room, not ideal for older guests.

The exterior looks nice, it’s a converted old hospital that looks down over the city. Although it’s on a very steep hill that makes it inconvenient for walking to the city centre.
Unbelievably remote to the city centre by virtue of the climb from city centre to the hotel, it’s very dated considering it was only refurbished in the past 15 years. When we went to the room we thought it was tired looking, then we realised there was actual blood on the wall so we felt uncomfortable, we advised management and although they did clean it seemed like it was not a big deal. The food was abysmal, totally overcooked fish, curry that was inedible, breakfast that was hostel standard. But at €250 night I’d expected more.
