Beautiful classic hotel on the hill in Cork with nice view. Room was not that big but with extra high ceiling and the balcony, we felt it very spacious. I love the sauna at the gym.

Double room far to small
We were staying 2 nights and day 2 we went downstairs for lunch in hotel & when we returned to room we were locked out our room key cards we’re deactivated …as room cleaned & thought we were only staying 1 night even tough all our clothes & suitcases & belongings were still in room had to go back down to reception in front of new guests to try to explain we had paid already for 2 nights !! But got locked after just 1 !!!

Very spacious room and clean. Lovely staff and were allowed to park car there before check in so we could explore city. A rather steep climb back to hotel though.

Beautiful, clean and stylish hotel. Very grand old hotel but beautifully decorated to fit the grand hotel style. Bar was stylish and welcoming and the food was divine. Really enjoyed our meal and very good value for money with regards to the food. Reception staff were very welcoming and accommoding. The room was massive and spotless and when we requested the hearing be turned on it was no problem. Highly recommend.
The location is a little out of the way in regards to town but wouldn't stop us returning again as taxis were very reasonable.

Very Good
We had a lovely corner room, very spacious and light and very quiet, even though it overlooked the terrace on one side. Great view over the city as the hotel is on a hill. Very good breakfast including Irish black pudding. We ate here twice, first for a full meal which was very generous - recommend the seafood chowder, second for a selection of light bites as we were getting too well fed! Location is walkable to Cork city centre, if you don't mind a climb back to the hotel. There are a few restaurants and bars nearby, including a great pizzeria.
Parking was a bit of a disaster on arrival as they had a party booked in. Arrive early to get a space Fri/Sat. TV remote didn't work very well.

Poor
Location and service staff were good
At 9.pm for breakfast there was no juice of any kind we were told it was all gone. There was one person serving . Guests were requesting food from their tables it was clearly meant to be a buffet. Everyone was looking at each other. Breakfast was included in the price . The springs were through the bed in room 112 . I would never contemplate going back there ever again.

Good
The hotel design, rooms, and bar/restaurant area were very nice.
Location not ideal for everyone as quite a steep hill to walk from town without a car.

Pleasant
The bedroom was great with a lovely view!
Breakfast was a bit chaotic at the 9.30 sitting! A lot of the cold buffet ran out i.e. milk, orange juice bread etc. and was slow to be replaced! There didnt seem to be anyone in charge!
Thank you for your information!
