Breakfast room staff (particularly the female) were pleasant.
Room was clean.
The pillows were entirely without shape/form (and no alternative pillows were provided in the cupboard as many quality hotels do);
providing shampoo which is supposed to be a conditioner also (how is this scientifically possible??) It can’t really do both;
Ridiculously long walk to the room including 2 lifts;
Staff at reception were somewhat rude. When asked how was everything they clearly were not interested in any answer except to say that everything was fine.

The bed was comfortable. Bathroom clean.
Carpet in my room was very stained, no comfortable chair to sit on in the room, no water provided, rooms are not soundproofed, listen to a couple argue since early hours, can hear everything that goes on outside.

Lovely hotel. The terrace, reception and bar areas are fab. The food was good and the staff were friendly and lovely.
I stayed in a bedroom on the top floor, at the back of the hotel. Very unusual room layout (the door opens into the bathroom area), which has a separate toilet but the door of the toilet doesn’t open back fully.
Despite the room having a big window, I had to stand on my tiptoes to see out the window and, unfortunately, the view from the room is very disappointing/unpleasant.
Also, the floor I stayed on would not be suitable for everyone as you have to take the lift to the second floor and then climb a flight of stairs to reach the top floor.

Had a problem with the phone and Wi-Fi but they changed our room and everything was great
Friendly bar staff, good buffet style breakfast. Comfortable bed.
