FANTASTIC! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location with lots of small shops and eating opportunities nearby. They call their place a homestay but it has all the conveniences of a hotel.

Our room was right next to the kitchen area. So, when someone uses the kitchen we hear them all the time and it's a bit annoying when you want to sleep and in the morning as well, we can hear someone cooking, setting up plates, etc. It was a bit warm in our room, AC wasn't working well.

Very good room and nice swimming pool in a quiet street of the city
I would have hoped for more touristic information: we asked about the Kraton, but the lady didn't know it was closed for renovations, so we went for nothing. We asked about the borobodur temple, but she didn't tell us we needed to make a prior reservation, so again, we couldnt go up. I know it is a B&B, and not a tourist info, but some more help on this side would have been useful.

- Plenty of attractions around the city
Can be improved:
- Basic breakfast based on a coffee/tea, white toast, omelette, fresh fruit and other sweets like jams or Nutella. No vegetables or sausage served - this small improvement might make this place perfect.
- Cold lights from the corridor might distract your sleep. Please (owners) put some cover on the window above the room door and problem should be sorted.

This is a wee haven just a short cab ride from the busy and exciting Maliboro St
Also possible to walk if you enjoy the exercise.
Great wee pool in the courtyard, scrupulously clean, as was the whole place.
Friendly staff.
Secure gate that was manned.
Good food options close by.
The room was clean and comfy with great aircon, comfy bed and quality bedding.
We will stay again!
We didn't get offered any local breakfast option, just omelet and bread.
But breakfast is included and well appreciated.

Ac is not functioning,we check in very late and booked 2 rooms with next to each others and text the property 4 months earlier,however when we came,1 of the room is vacant and they asked me extra money if we insist to continue to sit next each other. We booked for 5night.the receptionist lady small body was very rude n not helpful.
Breakfast not very delicious..5 days staying there,they just served us no option meal and only provided meal with rice and veggies,,they think our family is goats??????

Friendly staff and good value for money. We loved using the pool after being in the heat all morning!
The room was quite small and there was some light outside that we couldn't switch off at night. No closed shower which means water everywhere near the toilet but I think that is to be expected at basic homestays.

Our experience at Roemah Canting Homestay was quite pleasant. The rooms were clean and provided a comfortable stay. The staff was helpful. Overall, it was a good choice for accommodation in Yogyakarta.

The staff were friendly and the pool was a must have relief in the heat. Breakfast was very filling with it being homemade every morning and always had vegetables which for some reason we found difficult to find outside the homestay.
The room was overall very clean and although the tv didn't work it didn't really matter because there was a tv in the lounge room downstairs that we could use. The location of the homestay is very good. A grab only costs 20 thousand rupiah almost anywhere in the city from the homestay. A suggestion is that you order grab food to the homestay if you want to try alot of foods but don't want to go out in the heat or to multiple places. The best dinners for us were ordered online as you can easily find the most popular restaurants without having to ask anyone. The staff were patient with the amount of different orders which I was very grateful for. Although you can easily go to a well air-conditioned hotel with a fancy restaurant nothing can beat the friendly staff and homely atmosphere of this homestay.
The airconditioning was not quite enough in the room, it was on but barely felt like it did anything and the tv didn't work because the reception was bad in the room.
