Maria was excellent with helping us with transportation and things to do and where to eat. Bram was also very attentive to our needs at breakfast. We were there for 3 nights and each morning was a different delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. The location was ideal for walking to the sites. Other than morning prayer at 4:45, it’s a very quiet location.
Hot water shower, but didn’t really need it because the tepid water was cooling.

We had a comfortable stay here. The property itself is quite striking and tastefully done. Room was spacious, clean and cleaning was done daily. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

The best place I have ever stayed. The room is super clean. Cleaner than my own house. The building is very beautiful, as well as the decoration inside.
Staff are really nice and helpful; I saw some comment of whom stayed here before said that they not really speak english, but they are good at it, they speak english, at least we understand each other ?.
The breakfast is not vary. But it is enough; there are choices of continental breakfast and vegan option, fresh juice and fresh fruits. You can also mix.
This place might far for the centre but it is walkable to Jl. Prawirotaman and Jl. Parangtritis where you can find a lot of good place to eat. We walked; it took us almost half an hour ?There are also a local night market 2 min walk.
The gate will be lock at 11pm, if you are going to be late at night, you need to let them know before you leave. The door to the building is always locked, just knock the door they will be right there ?

The hotel is located just two blocks from the southern ulun ulun (open square) of the Keraton, within walking distance of most historical landmarks in the city. The rooms are immaculately maintained by the staff, and the common areas are nicely furnished and comfortable.
We visited over the idulfitri holidays, so everything was closed for 4 days during our stay. The shops on Marliboro and the Borodubur and Prambanan temples were open, but they were hard to get to from the hotel without a taxi. We ended up making daily excursions with Grab drivers.

Choices for breakfast are very limited. The location is very satisfactory, close to the square and food court. Only less than 100 meters.
The bathroom is not clean, the wastebasket is too small and the toiletries are not attractive.

The place is objectively gorgeous, the garden, porch, courtyard as well as the rooms look great, and one can easily see the history in the location. It just feels good to be in such an environment, as it allows one to further immerse themselves into the atmosphere of older and colonial Yogyakarta
Breakfast is very poor considering the luxury of the place. Some hostels do serve a better/bigger size. I would just add more items for guests to choose from
The staff tries their best to provide a good service. All of them are polite and kind, but unfortunately that is not enough. The majority of then does not seem to be fluent in English, which results in difficulties when it comes to asking/conveying a point. The young lad with a mask on was not very service-minded, he would just nod, smile and say 'ok' to everything without really understand what was going on and/or not wanting to help out. The service feels forced and robotic (that seems to be common in Indonesia). The staff should just relax and be more personal in their contact with the customer
In general, the guesthouse has a huge potential but small details (again mainly the service level) do not allow it to elevate itself completely.
The location is fine if you are really interested in the Kraton area, as it is located within walking distance of the Sultan's palace and water palace, but to experience some nightlife I would recommend being a bit closer to Malioboro Street, which truly is the highlight of the city

I can’t say enough good things about this place. A large house, with 6 guest rooms, two terraces (one where an amazing breakfast is served), on a quiet back street away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet within walking distance of many of the top sites. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. The place is spotless, the AC cold and the wi-fi strong. Steps away from the southern arun-arun, where locals congregate for food and socializing in the evening. Highly recommended.
I’ve heard some folks are put off by the calls to worship from nearby mosques, but I didn’t find that to be a problem. It’s a part of being in Java.

The location inside the kingdom was quiet and you could feel the home atmosphere. The design of the space allowed for plenty of natural light in all directions. The landscaping lends to the space and we were impressed by the lack of mosquitoes and enjoyed watching the geckos feasting on the porch in the evening.
