Peaceful location in the jungle. We arrive at 11pm due to weather delays after a day of travel with no food. They left a lovely meal for us in our room. As we vents unfolded re delayed flights we had great communication with them via Whats App.

Staff friendliness, rural setting, pool, dives, meals. Staff (Jessie) went out of their way to help with a lost baggage situation.
The "Welcome" introduction felt like arriving at summer camp - a long list of dos and don'ts.
Quite a dangerous slippery path down to the villas (I slipped and cut my leg).

We stayed at Thalassa for 3days and loved every minute of our stay. Beautiful resort area, lush gardens, amazing food, friendly staff, wellness center, beautiful rooms etc. The owner supports the local community with a foundation raising money in the Netherlands, the money is used to support young people get a proper school and job education in the tourist sector. AMAZING!

We had the chance to stay 4 nights at Thalassa with our two children (Villa Ginseng). We absolutely loved exploring Manado and its surroundings and introducing the whole family to snorkeling in a breathtaking setting, all perfectly organized by the resort team. Everything was simply fantastic! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, the surroundings were stunning, and the food was absolutely delicious. A flawless experience from start to finish!

Great accomodation, very nice bungalows and very good spot if you want to go snorkeling or diving. Great owners and staff who are really helpful and hospitable. Different from other accommodations in a good sense, we recommend this place to everyone who likes a personal and friendly environment.

Amazing resort for diving and other activities. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean and have large windows, which gives the feeling to be in the middle of nature.
The diving equipment, boat and guides are great and allow for excellent diving experience. However, don't miss to do the activities as well. The local guides are really nice people and can tell a lot about the local life and things to see on the tours. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is neither a luxury or a budget resort. It is a very good middle ground resort and that is their business niche which is important in that there are several very expensive resorts at one end of the resort spectrum and home stays at the other end. This is positioned right in the middle and perfect for divers that want to experience coral and muck diving. Their motto is leave as a friend and they meet that goal. Staff are great.
That it was not on a beach or had hiking areas. But we knew that when we booked.

My wife and I do a lot of traveling and I must say the Thalassa Dive Resort does it right. The food is plentiful and fresh, the grounds are well kept, the bungalows and villas are comfortable, and there is world class wall and muck diving minutes away. However, the real gem at Thalassa are the genuinely friendly staff. The manager Arjen personally took the time to find out our interests and provided with top notch concierge service arranging all of our activities during our stay, along with joining us for some meals and taking us on a tour of Manado. The rest of the staff made us feel like part of their family with endless smiles and lots of conversation. One of the young ladies even joined us on a dive on her day off work. We can’t wait until our next visit.

Honestly everything, I loved this place! The big windows in the rooms really puts you in touch with nature, they are spacious, clean and modern. You have AC working perfectly, for ANY question you can easily WhatsApp the members of the staff, the food was amazing every day and even well presented. The swimming pool area was just so beautiful and peaceful. This place was just way above my expectations, if I knew it I would have stayed here more days. And the staff was lovely and extremely kind. If I am back in manado I will certainly stay here no doubts.
Nothing really, maybe just clean the pool a bit more often. But everything was perfect.

- perfect also for transit if you want to relax after a journey through North-Sulawesi before your backflight

- unfortunately only stayed last night before flying back so I couldn't go diving with the crew..but what I heard from the other guests diving also works well with the crew
