Very Good
Diving and snorkelling were professionally organised with dive masters allocated in relation to divers skill levels.
Even though coffee was available all day, it would be nice if we could buy a barista coffee.

Wonderful
We stayed in the superior bungalow with Seaview. Bungalow 7. This bungalow was excellent right on the sea and had two comfortable lounges for us to sit in. It was clean, comfortable and private set away from the other bungalows. meals were rated 7 out of 10. The bathroom showed signs of aging but hot water was available at all times and it was more than adequate. Staff friendly and snorkelling trips were well organised Only a 10 minute walk from the centre of the village and five minutes from a good cup of coffee at Queens Villa.
I would recommend you bring your own snorkelling equipment as hiring even just some flippers can be expensive. This would also mean you can snorkel at your leisure any time of the day. If you’re a light sleeper the sound of waves could keep you from sleeping so earplugs might be in order. I would recommend bringing your own jar of instant coffee unless you really like, the local Indonesian brew.

When you are on holiday , you are happy rainy season or not. in tropical surrounding you have often a bit of sun and a lot of light enough to enjoy your time.
The staff was helpful with us as we are old and have difficulties to move, many thanks to them.
People from Manado and Bunaken are respectful.
Abraham was present at all process of our stay.
the Pasta , we were in Indonesia please no Pasta , so many things to eat....good to eat.

Amazing diving so many enormous turtles and variety of fish and coral. Plus the dive staff were so knowledgeable. We all loved
it.

The reef is 100m out from the hotel, and absolutely wonderful for snorkeling. Snorkelers should definitely take at least one boat outing to see other locations.
The food was very good, tasty and a veggie option every day (fresh fish).
The staff were very pleasant, and went out of the way to help us.
Nice spacious bungalow with AC that is quiet and efficient.
We went during rainy season, but did see the sun for 40% of the day, which is just fine.
Please remember that this is a dive resort in a rustic setting, not a luxury resort. So yes, the rooster was doing his thing according to his schedule, this is his environment.

Breakfast excellent- crepes, eggs, fruits, real fruit juice, cereal. Very large portions
Location! House reef easily accessible just snorkel 50m infront at high tide & there’s a wall reef! I saw sea snakes, turtles, many fish
Dive/ snorkeling trips - not a diver but new freediver, I felt very safe in the ocean, saw many many turtles, sharks, sea life. 12 euros for the trip if you bring you your own snorkel mask & fins, otherwise it’s possible to rent for extra.
If you’re not a confident snorkeller be mindful that the guide goes with the divers so you will most likely need to stay near the boat. However high probability you’ll still see turtles & nice fish, corals etc.
I had issues with my ears & needed to leave early & although I had already booked an extra night I was not charged which was very kind!!
I’ll be back again for sure! Super comfortable, beautiful spot
More vegetables please

All meals were tasty & plentiful. Excellent dive & snorkeling location. Our room was very comfortable. I had broken my foot & they made every effort to ensure I could snorkel constantly. Kudos to the staff & our boat captain France.
Everything is better without a broken foot!

I stayed at Raja Laut for 6 nights. It's really a good choice.
I had five wonderful days of diving, met so many new friends and had good food.
The resort is in a quiet location on the east side of Bunaken Island, which is perfect to watch the sunrise. All rooms are lovely banglows with nice view.
And the staffs of Raja Laut are very friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot.
nothing to complain.

Poor
Good house reef
This hotel was very run down. The food was lacking and didn’t taste good. One night they served us only soup for dinner… the room was dirty with lots of bugs.

We've been away for 5 months and this is one of favourite places so far. We'd definitely return.
All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. There are only 7 rooms so feels really cosy and everyone staying eats, dives/snorkels and socialises together as a group (we were lucky to have such a good group during our stay).
We were in bungalow 6 which was spacious, clean and comfortable. We also had the the best spot in the resort, overlooking the sea and catching the breeze.
The location of the resort is perfect as you can walk out to snorkel at a beautiful reef and drop off. The dive/snorkel trips were really well organised and a lot of fun.
The food was excellent, plentiful and varied; my non-fish eating was well taken care of. We especially loved pizza night and the sambal!
We only had one minor negative. Charging €5 for fin hire when you've a) got your own mask and snorkel, and b) already paid €10 to be on the dive boat for snorkeling is a bit steep. But otherwise we had an amazing stay.

This was just an exceptional resort for diving and snorkeling. The location, though requiring a boat ride from Manado, was wonderful with a great view of the water and surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, just 10 minute walk from a small town. They can provide special airport to resort transport that saves a lot of time and hassle. The cabin was spacious, clean and attractive, with a nice front porch, hot water, internet and mosquito net (not needed). The 3 meals a day were varied, delicious and plentiful. We even had great pizza one night, but usually well-prepared, fresh indonesian food. The crepes for breakfast were a highlight. The staff was friendly, helpful and always available. The boat dives/snorkels were great, averaging more than two hours in the water each time out. The house reef is great too, extending nearly a mile with easy access right in front. And the price is a real bargain. It looked to me like the best resort on the island.
Honestly, there was nothing that I did not like about the resort.

Great location on a slope of a little hill overlooking the sea. Great snorkeling just by cottages with abundance of corals and fish. Nice hiking in the neighborhood.
Everything seems to be a little worn out.
Be careful walking on a path built of concrete
blocks, specially at night. Breakfast was small.

Wonderful
Very nice little dive center!
The bungalow, was nice, quiet and relatively clean. No hot shower or A/C but that was okay for us (we had a standard one, they do also have more premium bungalows with A/C and hot water).
We loved the hamac on the balcony with view on the sea.
The food was really good and diversified for a remote location in Indonesia! They are flexible and didn't complained when we asked for a bit more.
The dives are good, and well organized.
Though we didn't meet the owners, the staff (manager, cook, dive guides...) are all very friendly, kind and helpful.
Only few details that didn't impact our overall very positive feeling:
- cleaning could be improved (bathroom and mosquito net especially)
- some dive equipment are not in the best conditions (leaking BCDs etc.)

Stop reading the reviews and book this now. NOW! It so amazing. We stayed 8 nights.
Right on the ocean, with a little beach, no mangrove trees to obstruct view or access to beautiful coral reef, great for snorkeling. Other places in the island don’t have this. I spotted snowflake eels, 8 types of clownfish, 3 types of anemones, coral colonies the size of cars, and so many pyramid butterflyfish and niger triggerfish just in the first thirty minutes. It’s amazing.
All of the rooms have wonderful views. It was so so so relaxing to be there. I have never had such a good experience. The food was amazing and local. We did vegetarian and it was so tasty. They also had fresh fruit around at all times.
We went with the divers on their charted boat and snorkeled for around 12$ a person for two separate spots a day. Super affordable. The boat team of three men were so professional, knowledgeable, and yet super funny and kind. I felt like we’re all friends by the end. There is a public boat from manado, which we took on our way out, and we booked a private boat on our way in through Raja Laut. Both were great.
Brahm the manager was so kind and attentive. We did laundry there and it was done well. Jessie and her staff in the kitchen were so kind. Always enough food, served family style so we could get to know the other guests. It was so nice, but also acceptable to talk to your own party if you wanted to.
Some trash, like everywhere on the island, is on the beach.
