The air condition is too cold and not adjustable. The water for shower is too hot and also unadjustable.

Location was ok
It's a strange hotel. They offer a menu in the restaurant but have none of the products on it. No coke, no soda water and on and on. If you try to discuss with the staff they mumble something about the manager and suddenly don't speak English. At some point they were worried I would skip out on my bill and were demanding payment in full. I never quite saw a hotel like this.

Arrived after midnight as flight delayed. Was told I had been allocated a smoking room. This was the first I had heard of it! I don't smoke so refused the room. I was told they had no other rooms.
I therefore had to find another hotel after midnight.
Extremely unimpressed.

Breakfast was good, WiFi works; no alkohol policy (not even a beer at the hotel bar) also no smoking zone (which is OK but just should be written in hotel policies)
The bathroom wasn't very clean, the window/ balcony doesn't open.

The location is great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance from the waterfront and close to Zero Point for public vans.
Not a deal breaker but we didn't realise there would be no alcohol on-site.

The location is quite near to restaurant etc.

Window room is not closed properly by the staff or broken. We complained 2x. No repair at all during our stay.
Lack of staffs (we need to go down to hotel lobby to borrow some plate and others. We requested plates, but responded by the hotel staff to go down and take by yourself. To be honest, this is my first time got this kind of response during my stay with aston. The dirty plates placed infront of our door also never picked up, only every morning. The water galoon also empty in our fourth day, and no refill during the night, imagine sleeping with thirsty feeling)
The hotel floors and carpey on the 7th floor really needs vacuum and some renovation.
The room card needs to be reprogrammed on our third and forth day.

Wonderful
The staff at Aston Manado are simply wonderful - friendly, professional and welcoming. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Great AC and plenty of hot water. A fundamentally great stay in Manado.
It didnt bother me, but the building is showing its age - slow drains, flaking paint. Still, I believe the Aston offers fantastic value.
