Literally one of the best hostels I stayed so far during my trip!
First of all, you can arrange your trip to Bromo (Both 1 day sunrise tour and 3d2n tour with Ijen) and Sewu Waterfall with the hostel, everything is highly convenient and you can see many people are literally doing so via the MADOR Hostel. Also the Hostel will send you the itineray and things you need to pay attention accordingly, the I would say this is the best highlight of this hostel!
My friend was terribly sick due to the AC when we were flying and she got worse. The front office ladies were so kind, recommending us the clinic, the medicine and food, even giving massage therapy advise on everthing. I feel like we were so highly cared and valued here not only as a guest but as a friend, or part of the family.
After the first night I was on a trip to Sewu, and on our way back there was sth happened so we had to swap the room. It was a bit stressful when we received the message from the hostel but all good, and we were all transferred to a room upstairs with even better AC and space!
They also give you many advices on food, whether western, local or the other option.
WOULD Def stay with them if I get a chance to Malang again!
The hostel is close up to Malang Colorful village but still it is a bit far away from the downtown. The bed I had on my first night was a bit too humid as it was on the ground floor and it was the bottom bed.

Staff was super helpful in helping us book the Bromo tour - offered great price as well and everything went great - totally recommend.
We booked the room just to have someplace to rest before the tour and it was great: comfy bed and clean room. Bathroom was quite clean as well, though we did not use the showers. For the price, great option.
Can be a bit noisy if you have bad luck and the people in the bunks are making some noise, as they are right next to the rooms. There isn't a window in the room.
The location is good if you are just coming and going for the tours, but maybe would pick another area if you are planning to stay some days in Malang.

I like their three day tour package. I really enjoyed that three whole trip starts from Tumpak sevu waterfalls , Bromo and ijen to Drop in Bali. It is amazing.
They need maintain their AC.

Good location, I didn’t stay because I got the upper bed (3) and I didn’t feel like climbing up after 2 days of Bromo and Ijen - left to an hotel nearby to get some comfort.
3 floors of bunk is too much in my opinion

I cannot fault this hostel! It is super clean and for the price has everything you need. The tours they organise are incredible- so seamless, the staff are also so kind and helpful. The 3D2N bromo ijen tumpak sewu tour was incredible value and was the best thing we did on our travels

The reception was always there for me and helped me plan everything on my trip. They woke me up for my Bromo trip and we're super kind during my whole stay. The beds were very comfortable and the hostel had everything you needed.

The location wasn't super nice, it's a very busy street where some people gave us weird looks. However, the nearby restaurant recommendations that MADOR gave us are really good ?
